Flamingo Restaurant — Restaurant in Hialeah

I came to this restaurant around 8 AM and ordered a smoothie. I was really disappointed to see that it was made almost entirely of sugar and artificial fruit flavoring.. the only real fruit I noticed was banana. I had debated ordering breakfast while waiting, but after watching the amount of sugar being added to my smoothie, I changed my mind.

When I confronted the staff about it, I was told it was just “a little bit of sugar,” but in reality it was several large spoonfuls. I drank it anyway, not wanting to waste the time or cause an issue, but I really wish I hadn’t.

Here’s what happened: right after drinking it, I felt an immediate burst of energy, especially since I went straight to the gym. But within 30–45 minutes, I started feeling sick.. headache, nausea, my teeth hurting, almost like a hangover. I ended up crashing so hard that I needed hours of sleep, and it wasn’t until around 5:30 that I felt somewhat back to normal. I’ve been trying to sweat the sugar out of my system all day just to feel better.

On top of that, the hospitality was not top-tier at all. I didn’t even get a “hello” or “how are you today” when I walked in.. if I hadn’t spoken up first, I don’t think anyone would have said anything.

If you’re expecting a fresh, healthy smoothie and welcoming service, this is not the place to find it.

The food that is sitting there has flies all over it, they don't cover the food that is disgusting. The prices on the menu or the prices they verbally give you are not the prices they charge you when you are going to pay. They have been reported to state inspectors & they will be under review. This place is the worst ofthe worst, the service is horrible, they have no customer service I heard someone saying there food had maggots that has got to be the most disgusting thing I have ever heard about a restaurant.. I do not recommend this place well yes I do to my enemies lol. I wish I can...

a cuban restaurant with lots of food items. is not menu based as such but food is displayed buffet style. clean, well decorated. saw price for 1/2 galon of juice at $6. asked for guanabana and the lady was given me 1/4 gallon. I said that's not half the container you are holding is 1/2 not half of the container. she claimed not to be good in meaurements. she filled the half gallon container and said $12. i said the price says $6....well some juices are more expensive than others.....i walked out. these newly arrived Cubans entrepreneurs still think they...
