I bought multiple speakers & a receiver over the years from them and have always been really impressed with their sales team. I cannot express how great they are at their job. However, I moved into my first home recently and it was time to have my system professionally setup & calibrated.
The work order was to install the wire for the speakers and connect to the receiver & calibrate. The installers did a great job running the wire through my living room and making it look professional. However, during installation the lead installer informed me that their work was done prior to connecting to the receiver. This was incorrect and told me to “refer to the contract”. Apparently that was left off but when I reviewed the work the initial worker that walked my home for the survey, he said that was included. Clearly a miscommunication but should be easily corrected. The installer’s attitude was dismal and said “he’d already been there longer than he should” as if it was my fault he was taking a long time to do his job. I asked to call his manager and he would not let me speak to him and insisted that he talk to him on my behalf, which was very aggravating. The manager apparently told him to connect and calibrate the system (an extra 20 minutes at most) and complete the initially discussed work.
In summary, I made the mistake of signing their work order with the verbal confirmation that something was included. However, the professionalism of the lead installer was dismal and confrontational which is why I’m writing this review. His apprentice however was great and a very nice and understanding person. As another person that works in customer service, I would never act in the way that the lead installer did, and intend to leave a project at 99%.
The system was setup to standard and I am very pleased with the end result. The installation team needs to take some notes from the salesman at this company. Their professional product knowledge and service needs to only be experienced for yourselves. I already new what I wanted, I just needed to compare the 2 TV's side bt side. Eric assisted us and showed us certain differences. We decided to think about our decision, & he even followed up by text, which we really appreciated. No pressure at all. Gave us his knowledge, & let us make our final decision. We made our decision between 2 TV's very easy. He was able to schedule our delivery and set up, for a day that was convenient for us. Delivery & Installation: Mr Ronnie Rodrigues was very professional, from the time he entered our house. Ronnie & his helper both put on their shoe covers, before entering our house. Ronnie explained exactly what they were going to do. Through conversation with Ronnie he told us that he'sbeen working for Bjourns for 11 years. Kudos to Bjourns for having & holding on to experienced installers. Our Sony TV was carefully unboxed, & Installation was excellent, even assured that it was level, & working properly. Read moreI’ve been a customer of Bjorn’s since they were located on 410. If you are seeking the highest quality AV equipment, they are unrivaled. The only issues I have had lately is that when I come into the store, there feels like a lot of pressure to rush me out. I am not afforded the opportunity to look around in peace. This last time, I was fairly certain of the equipment I was wanting. My mistake was telling the salesperson who then sat me down, didn’t really give me time to look around at other items and rushed me out of the store. Get it and go mentality. The remainder of the staff were all behind the counter on their computers or phones. No greeting or acknowledgment that I was even present. So while it’s the best place in the vicinity to find high end, quality equipment, the shopping experience is definitely not what I have come to expect from Bjorns. While it is true that Bjorns is a bit pricier than other merchants, that has never bothered me due to the service, knowledge and positive shopping experience there.
