A couple of weeks ago, I called the store in Hillsborough to order to galvanized stock tanks to make raised garden beds with my students. Alex was the person that answered the phone and he was quite nice to reserve two for me since I couldn't go until the weekend. When I called a second time, the assistant manager answered my call. He was extremely nice, gave me time to explain what I needed and told me that a different size was better for my purpose. He was out of stock and he told me he would order them and there should be in, in a couple of weeks. Today, I called to see if they came in. The young lady that took my call was nice but she transferred me to "receiving" that is where my luck ran out. The man that took my call, not only kept interrupting me, but he also insisted that the size I ordered didn't exist. Only after I told him that the assistant manager took my order he put me on hold to check without even telling me that he was putting me on hold. When he came back to the phone, all he said was that they were not in and he couldn't estimate when they would come in, in fact, I am sure he just didn't want to bother to check. I could tell by his attitude that he had no intention of assisting me with my request. It is not what he said. It is how he said it. He didn't handle a phone call in a professional way and this doesn't reflect well for the store. I don't know yet, if I will indeed purchase the tanks from Tractor supply. I will look around first. The man that answered the phone...
Read moreREVIEW FOR VETCLINIC ONLY (Otherwise store is great) SO we have used tractor supply clinics for a number of years, no issue. After waiting an hour in line with 2 dogs we were informed the attending vet wouldn’t administer more than 2 vaccines, even if the dog has received them all prior and is there for annual boosters. So, between lymes, distemper/parvo, bordetella, and influenza annually due, this didn’t work. No less when your dog needs rabies—I’m not sure how this works, which 2 are more important—so we are suppose to go every 2 weeks, 3x for all shots now?…. Ridiculous
Fine this vet has these restrictions, but it’s not okay to not share this info. If it’s not what you guys want as info online, then don’t use vets with peculiar restrictions. This is just disruptive to animal care. There is no info online and no sign posted. We have been to this same clinic years prior with no issues. We were only informed after waiting and starting check-in. We were relying on getting everything done per usual today. Didn’t happen. If we had been informed we could have made proper arrangements elsewhere where they would do the vaccines and not wasted today. Didn’t save a dime and didn’t find this useful—actually wasted money driving 30 min to the clinic. So very poorly organized and in certain cases a deficit to pet owners relying on clinic services.
*Someone also needs to explain how the dog and cat value packages work, as they have more than 2 vaccines in them. Seems you can’t offer those either...
Read moreI had purchased a flat free garden cart wheel Sept 1st, and today the hub tore off the wheel while in use. I went in to see if they would give store credit or warranty to a new one. Both cashiers seemed to feel that it would absolutely be possible and were ready to issue store credit so I could use the money toward buying a new wagon cart for a few hundred dollars. After waiting for a while for the manager who had to be called twice to approve the store credit, she immediately said no we can't return that its past 30 days. When I tried to explain that the wheel is probably faulty and I wasn't looking for a refund she would not allow me to speak and she talked over me until I said ok, and left. I understand return policies... but the item was not the quality I paid for if it failed after a few uses. I was hoping for a new one to be provided, or the credit to go toward a more expensive purchase which the two cashiers working were saying would happen knowing the date of purchase. The manager working couldn't have been more rude in ignoring anything one of her customers had to say. So I went to Home Depot down the street and bought a cart there instead. Tractor Supply has lost the thousands of dollars a year that I spend with them, and from my business...
