"The Most Magnificent Thing" by Ashley Spires is itself a magnificent thing, empowering story of perseverance and determination told with realism and humor, and illustrated delightfully. She loves it.
And "Fox and the Box" by Yvonne Ivinson is a beautiful primer -- just a few, large-print words like fox, box, tail, tale, sail, sale, shell, sell, see, sea -- but the colorful and engaging pictures paint a rich and satisfying story. She loves it too.
Anyway, I was walking my dog around town today, and later Google said I'd been there and asked for input, usually I just ignore those (jeez, big brother) but tonight I had a minute, and wanted to pass along my pleasant experience there. I don't often shop for books but I'll return there...
