I have been going to this store off and on for the past few years. Just recently, I started consigning items there so I can't speak to that those who want to consign here in terms of the process. First off, the store has a mix of better brands from Anthropologie, Eileen Fisher, Vineyard Vines, COS, and J. Jill and some luxury lines like Armani, Chanel, Hugo Boss, etc. There are shoes, jewelry, handbags, scarves and a smattering of housewares in the backroom. Like the clothing, the jewelry is a mix of costume and nice vintage sterling silver and higher end brands like David Yurman. Same with the bags being a mix of affordable Coach and also luxury lines like Givenchy. The clothes are in good shape but I have found many of the shoes appear quite worn (I would rather wear a pair of cheap, clean, new shoes than tired looking Prada shoes with thinned out soles). I read some of the negative reviews about kids being chided and issues with parking spaces. I will say I have been there when Moms have brought their young kids into the store and let them run around unsupervised and play among the racks of clothing. It is a small store with a lot of inventory and not child friendly in terms of the set up so I can see from a liability perspective why the employees might show some weariness when people let their children run around the store. The issue with the parking is not isolated to this store as I saw an employee from the juice store next store come running into the consignment shop when I was there and tell a patron to move her car from the space in front of the juice shop next door. There are not many spaces in front of the stores and ALL of the employees of the various stores have been beefing over patrons parking in "their" store's spaces. I make a point of going into the consignment shop and then buying a juice after to keep the peace with all parties or just parking in the back lot. The owner has a big personality and I have found her to be lovely. She takes her business quite seriously and is very particular about the kinds of clothing she takes in and the condition of the clothing, handbags and jewelry (not as much with all of the shoes). I have purchased some beautiful pieces from the shop that are very unique. The prices are pretty reasonable for the lines she carries. It is fun to poke around if you're looking for something different than what you find at the malls, this is worth checking out.. The store is small but very tidy and...
Read moreFirst and last time shopping here unfortunately. Don’t get me wrong, I picked out three fantastic articles BUT I left feeling completely disrespected. The owner is extremely unwelcoming and hostile. While I shopped, she was having a very loud and negative conversation with a friend that sat up front with her. I am not one to eavesdrop, but it’s a very small shop and her booming, negative voice was practically rattling the walls. That alone made the environment feel very negative. As I checked out she made some small talk with me about the items I picked out but was also turning to her friend to continue a conversation with them. I noticed a bag that I really loved and asked her to add it with my items- that’s when she yelled at me and said “I DON’T CARE”- because I interrupted a conversation she was having while she was checking me out. I immediately felt very uncomfortable and debated taking my card back and leaving the store. She checked me out and her tone turned very fake and insincere upon making my purchase. Based off of previous reviews I was really looking forward to checking out this shop but was disappointed with the...
Read moreVery enjoyable store, geared toward the customer with interesting stock, delightful staff and nice customers.
This consignment store has lots of items for sale - clothing, home decorations - nice variety. The owner and manager is very invested in making her customers happy, and manages to treat them like friends. The stock is in very good shape and appropriately priced. The store employees manage to convey enjoyment of their work, and I have never gone there and left disappointed.
It is enjoyable to visit, full of good buys - and the items are in good condition. Everyone is nice, and I have never had a bad time there. ...I wish they could open another store closer to my home, but they are well worth the trip...
