I recently heard that Peel changed their name to Hook from a local Hingham resident.
The person shared that they believe that the owners changed the name to avoid some sort of legal liability - whether it be a labor issue or tax issue, they weren’t entirely sure.
But knowing that Brendan Higgins, the owner/manager, owned roughly $980K to the DOR from his days as owner of Upper Crust, may have had something to do with it…
But again, I am just passing on what was shared with me by various Hingham residents in the know, and if this is the case, I would avoid supporting these guys...
