Let me just say I am beyond disappointed! Let’s back peddle to 2016 when I bought my twin daughters baptism gowns. It was amazing. Beautiful store nice people helping us. Private appt and a pleasure. Now it’s 2024 and my girls are making their communion next year. Me the very loyal person I am is well aware I will go back to the same store that I loved. I find out over the spring prior to their communion that they are closing the communion Part of the store and I will need to buy the dresses 1 year in advance. Ok no problem, again I’m very loyal and can work this out. I call, make an appt and drive 45 mins there to get this done. The store is packed 5/6 families looking at dresses sharing one dressing room. We pick out two dresses, two veins, two tiaras, two pairs of shoes and go to check out. The owner who is already not very friendly is very short with us and the girls. Seems like she can’t be bothered and truly might not even like what she does. She was in a rush and the store was closing. We walk over to her “sister” store to pay and she wraps up all the items ( tiaras and veils ) in green tissue paper and taped them shut, puts them in the bag and we leave.
Now it’s 1/2025 the girls communion is in a few months. I go to check how the dresses are fitting and show my family all the beautiful stuff we bought and I realize one veil is missing. I have the receipt I have the pic of my kid wearing it I show all the proof. I message the shop and explain it was prob an accident and maybe she put it aside for me when she realized she forgot to bag it up. I will always assume people are good people cause they value their customers. Her response was is this from eight months ago? , I got rid of all my merchandise. Followed by in the next sentence I have a few left of those. Interesting. You got rid of all your merchandise but still have a few of the one I’m missing that you didn’t bag up for me. ** Here is the kicker ! When I offered to buy another, giving her the opportunity to make this right she started ignoring my messages! Now I will admit prior to this I would always rave about the store - not the owners nasty personality which I was willing to overlook. But this is not ok. Was I suppose to open every single item she wrapped up and taped when she wanted to close for the day? No, I respected her and trusted her. DO NOT SHOP AT LITTLE NIKKIS. You are just another number and they don't care about you or your kids. I could have went anywhere I was beyond loyal to a person and company that doesn’t give a crap about me or my daughter who is hysterical over the veil she was so...
Read moreI am a teacher and I went to Little Nikki's back in June to look for a special dress for a very special student whom I was sponsoring for her "8th Grade Prom." Herma, the owner of the delightful boutique, was kind enough to allow me to take two dresses back to school with me so that I could try them on the student and she could choose the one she wanted. Two days later, I went back to return one of the dresses and pay for the other. Herma graciously refused payment and very generously donated her gorgeous dress for this beautiful young lady to wear to her prom. Herma did not have to do this. It was such a refreshing gesture of kindness and it was proof that decent people still exist in this world. I am a believer in the expression, "what goes around, comes around" and may goodness return to you a thousand times over....
Read moreI was very happy with the service we received from the salesperson throughout the entire process for my daughters first communion dress. There are a few bad reviews on here referring to very standard things that are requested of clients (like keeping hands clean and keeping kids away from dresses) when buying a valuable white garment. I live in ridgewood, i’m an existing client, i will buy my youngest daughters first communion dress from here in the future as well, and I highly recommend this gem of a place. Shame on the people that gave bad reviews to this place for petty reasons and trying to destroy one of the best local...
