Wendel's Diamond Jewelers — Local services in Hocking Township

Have always loved this place, and I’m sure we aren’t their largest customer, but have been loyal to home town independent business. I am adding this to my prior review, below, because I am soooo disappointed. I won’t go into details, they know why I’m upset, but in a nutshell, we took a ring to be re-rhodiumed, knew there were small chips in diamonds, they inspected and said no problem, they have done it before on this same ring. Got a call two weeks later and said they had a new policy, and wouldn’t do it. We said we would sign a “waiver” and take the risk. They still refused… “it’s our new policy.” Stephanie apologized that new employee wasn’t aware… and apparently her father in law wasn’t aware either. He’s the one that inspected. I’m not knocking the quality of Wendell’s, but I believe this was not handled properly.

My fiancé left a review a few days ago, and now that I have my ring on my finger I wanted to leave one as well! After having a disheartening experience with a jeweler in Grove City, we made the drive out to Wendel’s at the recommendation of family members to have them see what they could do with my mother’s diamond engagement ring. It had been gifted to us a few months prior by her and my father; we knew it wasn’t in great shape and at minimum would need some serious work.

From the very beginning, Stephanie was helpful, informative, and made us both feel really relaxed through the whole process. I was wildly nervous about letting anyone do anything with my mother’s diamond just due to the sentimental value, but Stephanie made me feel at ease. Wendel’s ended up resetting the diamond after Stephanie helped me pick a setting that was perfect for me. When we picked up the ring, we both made a comment in the car afterwards that it turned out 1000x better than we could have imagined. Thank you so much Stephanie and everyone...

Looking for an engagement ring, my mother informed me to look here. Glad I did. I'm an awkward individual, but I was greeted with a smile and friendly staff. I had an idea of what I was looking for, but with the further information. That was given to me, I ended up with something far far better then I orginally wanted. Went in for a general cleaning and sizing of my fiancée's ring. As always welcomed right when we walked in. Matt helped out and was extremely nice.
