These guys and gals are just fantastic. They're super knowledgeable about the products that they carry (and even some that they don't) and can get you equipped from the shoes on your feet to the hat on your head (and pretty much everything in between).
Even better than just helping with equipment though, they help foster the community as a whole, and not just with beer served at their awesome bar! They host tons of group runs (after which there's beer AND coffee for the morning ones), they connect folks with other group runs, they can tell you about local races (those they sponsor and those they don't) and just in general do a great job helping out the local running community.
All in all, whether you're considering getting more into running (or walking - they organize 1 mile walks during their weeknight group runs), gearing up for a 5K, checking off 26.2 from the bucket list, or getting crazy with the distances, PYRC is the place to go to gear up, hang out, and talk...
Read moreSolid running store with knowledgeable staff…. Certainly no hard selling, to their credit once they recommend to me shoe at the time did not even carry. Prices are sensible as most high end gear is set by the manufacture. They do offer a nice points scheme. However if that is not your thing don’t let it put you off, first and foremost this is a running store…..
The store owners organize weekly run groups at various other local venues, all levels are welcome, if you just want to get off the couch and walk that’s cool…… Also they organize two good size races in Holly Springs (8k or 16k Spring Classic and Holly Springs Half) both events will test your ability well, have great routes and...

My worry going into a "run store" was that they would all be snooty "purists" because I wasn't a runner but I found it was EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. The staff was not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly and helpful. Plus, they have a small bar with craft beer in there too! Shopping while sipping in a local brew? Yes please!
It actually came to a point that I was looking for other things to purchase, just because of how they treated me and being locally owned and operated, I want to see more owners and businesses run like this (no pun intended) succeed in a big way.
They are now my go to shop for anything...
