Unforgettable Alaskan Fishing Adventure Aboard the Artemis!

If you're looking for the ultimate Alaskan fishing experience, look no further than the Artemis with Captain Eddie and deckhand Lars. From the moment we stepped aboard, it was clear we were in expert hands. Captain Eddie’s deep knowledge of the local waters and fish behavior meant we were always in the right spot at the right time. His calm, confident demeanor made even the rougher waters feel like smooth sailing.

Lars, the deckhand, was equally impressive—friendly, hardworking, and always ready with a helping hand or a great story. He kept the gear in top shape and made sure everyone on board felt comfortable and confident, whether it was their first time fishing or their fiftieth.

The boat itself was clean, well-equipped, and clearly maintained with care. We caught a variety of fish, including halibut and salmon, and even spotted some whales and otters along the way—an added bonus to an already incredible day.

My first impression was right. While motoring out, our Capt was explaining some of the job to us. I thought we may be in for a good day when he bragged about how good the owners of O'Fish'al were. One can tell a lot from how the employees speak about their teams! Excellent service really comes from the top down and that's what we experienced.

Our group of seven ranged from 11 to 75, so naturally causing my wife some anxiety taking her parents fishing. Capt Aaron, Darren, and Charlie made short work of that! After a long and gorgeous motor out, we were into fish. Everyone on board (there were a total of ten anglers) caught a limit of above average size halibut plus a couple bonus fish to send home!

The entire trip was a blast! The crew were everywhere they needed to be to either assist or heckle us, there were laughs constantly. Our entire party were having the time of their lives... until we headed back. The fun had to stop because five of the seven went to sleep! Sleep on the way home means they pulled in some fish and were recovering from some laughing cramps

I often wonder how professionals will handle my feral boys, Captain Aaron, Darren, and Charlie couldn't have been better! Pretty sure they are just bigger boys with cooler toys and fun jobs!
