In September I wanted to arrange a special tour for my significant other. It was her first trip to the Hawaiian islands and she is a Wrangler-phile. After researching a few tour companies online, I settled on Hawaii Jeep & Specialty Tours. The common theme inferred from posted reviews was they knew Oahu well, and the tour was configurable, both of which were important to me.

Booking was simple. When I explained my desire for a special pickup, they confirmed the feasible promptly. Communication is professional.

The morning of pickup, Wayde confirmed our pickup location and time beforehand. He was on time and impressed per our arrangement.

On the way to our first stop we discussed the day’s itinerary and interests. Times and stops could / would be adjusted to maximize our experience. Wayde wants to ensure you have the great experience.

Not only does Wayde know Oahu, but he truly cares for the land, people and habitat. When we hike, we pack out found trash. He does the same at each stop. He even made a note when we were at Sandy Beach to arrange hauling a dumped piano off the beach. Betterment through thought and deed is the truest path in life, and we were truly impressed by is actions.

Not only did we learn, see and sample much in our day with Wayde, we were able to re-experience the highlights again in our rental later in the week. My significant and I had a fantastic time, were impressed on may levels. More important, I am grateful to Wayde for making her first stop in Oahu a most memorable one with photos & videos to prove it.

Just do it, preferably the beginning of your stay in Oahu. You will not be disappointed!

Wow, what an amazing day. Hawaii Jeep and Specialty Tours know the real Hawaii and are able to cater tours to meet your interests & needs. Our day began with the Owner Wayde picking our family at our hotel ~ talk about great service. There was my husband and two daughters on the Circle Island tour. At first we were concerned an 8 hour tour would be way too long but Wayde was so friendly and knowledgeable the time just flew by. We were keen to see some turtles and Wayde explained the importance of respecting these beautiful creatures and maintaining a safe distance so as not to stress them. We saw them in several locations and it was truly magical every time. I am a keen photographer and Wayde was so accommodating stopping at every photo opportunity I saw. Our family learnt and had great discussions about Hawaiian Culture, the local environment, modern Hawaiian life, local food and much more. We visited a local nut farm and sampled delicious produce. I also bought some amazing muscle balm which I still order to this day! We visited some stunning secluded beaches, saw amazing homes, ancient burial sites, had lunch at the Shrimp Shack Food Truck and for dessert had the best Hawaiian Shaved Ice EVER!! We even managed a quick detour to Leonard's Bakery for some Malasadas - they were divine. I had been to Hawaii before but had never seen Hawaii like this. My advice is that regardless if you have been to Hawaii before or it is your first time, if you have kids or dog with you or not, you simply must travel with Hawaii Jeep & Specialty Tours you will have the best day ever. This was our second trip to Hawaii and this time we wanted to do things differently.

On our first trip, we did the usual tourist things in the usual tourist way, long queues, treated like cattle accompanying guides that seemed more interested in what tip was left in the jar than providing meaningful and informative commentary.

Thankfully, this time around, we found HAWAII JEEP AND SPECIALTY TOURS to give us a taste of the REAL HAWAII.

WAYDE the owner, picked up my wife and I directly from our accommodation and greeted us personally (not just a name ticked off on a clipboard!) and for the next 6 hours treated us to a personal tour of Oahu.

Wayde indulged us on a tour that was personal in every sense of the word, taking us on a journey around the island that included so many hidden gems; secret beaches, sacred Hawaiian native sites, military outcrops that if you blinked you would miss them and a hike to a waterfall that was just out of this world just to name a few highlights!

But it wasn't just the sights that we saw that made our day so special, it was our guide (Wayde, the owner) that made the day even more memorable. Each place we visited had a story (Wayde even had stories as we travelled between sites!) which were explained in detail and with a true sense of affection for not only the land but for the native people of Hawaii.
