Hana Sushi — Restaurant in Honolulu

This place has such lazy staff took 20 mins to get seated while only one customer was in. no drink refills, no good service. and barley anyone goes here, the sushi is also way over priced around $20 for almost anything while the sushi grade is not even worth the price. also the sushi tasted like it sat in room temperature for hours, even though eating it right after serving. there was 1 person eating in the restaurant with plenty of room. to sit and they told us to wait outside to get seated which made no sense even tho we are going to dine in anyway and also they dont even have outside seating to begin with. there signs and menus look crusty and old and their sign outside looks like its going to fall apart and breakdown and also their menu has typos in it. go to the other sushi places that are way better that are within the same shopping town center. this...

Food: 4/5 Sushi was solid for a moderate price. The nori was a bit difficult to bite/pull apart, suggesting it may have been old. Ginger was a bit watery, but minimal complaints.

Service: 4/5 Waiter was attentive and food came out quickly, possibly because we were the only customers for a majority of our time here

Atmosphere: 2.5/5 Open air sushi creation, which is nice, but had a few quirks. Bottled Kirkland water was the substitute for tap, which was not a bad thing, just odd. The bathroom situation was the killer, as it was outside and down a dingy alleyway, with the staff just giving the passcode to diners. Hana Sushi has been in Hawaii Kai Shopping center forever!! It used to be located farther in by the old Shack bar and now they’re located closer to the street by Town pump. The sushi here is always so good!! My fav is the salmon. It just melts in my mouth. It is almost as good as the sushi I’ve had in Tsukiji in Tokyo.
