Vons Chicken Hawaii Kai — Restaurant in Honolulu

I happen to be off work and craving Korean fried chicken so badly. Thank goodness this place was open and nearby! 🤣❤️ I ordered the plain 10 PC bone in chicken, and fried mandoo with extra spicy sauce. From what I remember the 10 PC chicken was $16, and mandoo was about $6? The wait was no trouble at all, I was thoroughly entertained by the show on the TV. Although fried chicken isn't something to rush in my opinion, and I'm also naturally patient. The guy who took my order was so so nice and I didn't feel rushed at all, I kinda knew what I wanted too. The store was clean, neat and there were a few 4 seat tables to dine in! I would have if I wasn't looking to get home. All of this was so good and I even managed to get some pictures 🤣 Now the chicken! CWISPY. JUICEY. AND, even though it was only the plain one, the chicken was SO full of flavor! 9/2022 Finally gave it a try because service kinda sucked at the bar next door. Glad it did. Gotta admit, not bad at all. After the salesperson's recommendation, gave the "original" crispy wings a try, with a side of rice. Simple, straight forward, gotta try tasty. Best value about this location is the young woman's friendly, try's hard service and the hard to find labor cooking. Good job everyone! I appreciate the effort, and others will too. Love it. Awesome workers. Was greeted with aloha. Got to meet and chat with the owner while my order was being made.
