definitely a great way to do yoga. it's outside right on the beach with a great view of waikiki and the royal hawaiian. i usually opt for the sunset class and go with a friend. i'm new to yoga, about five classes in, and it's great. i wish my balance was better, but i do think im getting stronger. along with the stretches its a pretty complete workout. every time i think have it down it gets a bit more challenging with different poses and whatnot. you definitely get that good burn after, but it doesnt linger too long. once, i felt i was neglecting the gym for yoga and decided to squeeze both in on the same day. i was nervous about going to the gym after a thorough yoga session, but it actually turned out amazing. that good burn from yoga carried over to my workout and im not sure if i had more energy, but my body was definitely moving a lot easier. i breezed through my workout. now, im kind of addicted to the back to back routine. i will definitely be continuing and hopefully i get those...
Read moreI went to Yoga Under The Palms on a Saturday morning 9:30am class. The instructor let us know exactly where to meet and it was super easy to find. The location was a few steps away from the beach, very peaceful. You can literally hear the sound of the waves! I brought sunscreen with me but there was no need, as we were under a big tree with lots of shaded area. It was very pleasant and not hot. The instructor greeted me right away and was very nice and professional throughout the class. Our class was a mix of experienced people and beginners. the lesson was easy to follow for even beginners like me. The next day my legs and back muscles were feeling it! It was a great work out, challenging yet relaxing, I am definitely going to return for more classes. Highly recommend for both locals and tourists! Oh and mats were provided, so that was a plus, just showed up with my bottle water. Great healthy ocean...
Read moreYoga in the shade under the tree with the ocean right in front of you is the perfect way to start the day! The 9:30 am class is my favorite and I’ve gone to three classes so far and will be signing up for more! You meet at the park to the right of the Waikiki Aquarium and I was able to find free parking on the ocean side of the street easily. There are metered parking up to four hours just right across the street as well. I am a beginner, but I was able to follow along and keep up with this well paced class. The instructor is friendly and well prepared, the class flowed smoothly. All in all, a...
