Fit Five Meals — Local services in Hoover

I've used Fit Five for several months, and I couldn't be happier. I order for both my husband and for myself, and I even order meals for when I go out of town — I just keep them in the hotel or AirBNB fridge. I've tried a lot of other prepared meals, and here's why I love Fit Five best:

Accurate Macros: They're really dedicated to making sure the calorie counts and macros are accurate, and I've gotten meals from other services where that didn't seem to be the case.

Variety of Calories/Macros: My husband is a gym owner, so he needs a lot of calories, and my exercise is moderate, so I don't. I can find meals for both of us with Fit Five, and other services that I've tried had either low-calorie meals for weight loss or high-calorie meals for fueling heavy workouts, but not both.

Easy to Order: The App makes ordering really easy, and you can even get a reminder text for the last day orders are open so you'll remember.

Delivery with Low Packaging: I like that the meals are delivered fresh to my door, but they aren't shipped, so they don't have a ton of packaging around them — just what's necessary and nothing else.

Order Close to Delivery Date: You can late in the week for Saturday delivery, which is as good as it gets for something like this. (They also have delivery date options — either Saturday or Monday — and you can switch it up each time you order to fit your schedule.)

Separate Sauces: I like that sauces are separate and not included in the calories/macros. I can be picky about sauces, so I can easily skip a sauce if I don't like it (or if I need to keep my meal a little lower on calories). They have a really easy to read, thorough spreadsheet of sauce calories/macros, so it's really easy to add in the sauce if you're having it.

Great Seasoning: We got really bored with other services because there are only so many times you want to have chicken in a week. With Fit Five, even the "boring" meals (chicken + sweet potato + carrots, for example) are seasoned so well that they're actually good, and they don't get boring.

No Minimums, Subscriptions, etc.: You can even skip a week if you're on vacation or just know you'll be eating out a lot. You don't have to do anything special to skip; you just don't put in your order.

Grab and Go Locations: I live in Birmingham, and they have grab-and-go locations here, so if I happen to need more meals than I think I will, I can...

Honest review- I started using FitFive to take the hassle out of trying to figure out both lunch and dinner every night. Although I’ve never cared much for other “quick and easy/healthy” meal plans or subscription services because the food always tasted commercialized, bland, and/or not truly fresh. I gave this a shot because I liked the idea of the meals being prepped locally and I knew one of the owners use to own a really good restaurant so- I figured it would have to be tasty if it had his approval. Anyways-My family of 3 is on our third day of using FitFive meals for both lunch and dinner and I’ve been really impressed with my meals! They are really good and hard to believe it’s actually all “healthy” and I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself lol I can definitely foresee sticking with it long term and it’s just taken a load of stress off my plate to not have to figure out dinner every night. I LOVE FitFive meals. I have been ordering Fit Five for the last several months. On a typical week I order lunches and dinners for every weekday for the hubs and I. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to cooking. The meals are great. We have our faves, I personally love any meal with the kabob chicken and my husband loves all of the Bham Bowls.
