I am a long time collector and player of pokemon and I deal with every card shop within a 300 mile radius of Birmingham Alabama so I feel like I can speak about what tier they are all on. We are lucky to have some great shops in the metro area and there are some good folks that I like at all of them. But let me speak plainly so there is no confusion. Iron City games is simply the very top dog when it comes to pokemon cards, the game, teaching new people the game, and Really everything pokemon plus a lot of other tcgs.im not taking bad about other shops because they are good but they just can't compete with the awesome vast collection of cards that are in great shape and priced on par with tcg player.i have sold cards all over and iron City pays top dollar for all chase and more valuable cards and they pay a little more for lower value cards than anyone else. When it comes to boosters, packs, etbs and everything in between save your gas running around and go to iron City. They are going to have that sir, ur, or hr, That you have been hunting. The staff really are great and will help you with whatever because they all know their stuff and I'm fairly certain they don't hire anyone who isn't super cool and knowledgeable about a lot. As a longtime customer of the store, it’s sad to see what is currently happening. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars here. Product is being priced way above market, and they are only contributing to the problem by purchasing products from scalpers at a high rate and then selling them for an even higher rate. Seven dollars above market on a single pack of cards is insane. I brought cash to see if that would help the deal and they were unwilling to budge even a dollar. Do not shop here. I’m certainly done. Go to card addicts Or Magic city collectibles. Magic city has booster boxes $20-$30 cheaper than every single one at iron city. There’s a reason why iron city has more product than anyone.
