La Estrella Horizon — Local services in Horizon City

As mentioned the hours of operation on here are wrong, unless the employees are closing an hour earlier. I checked on here before driving up there. Walk in & a young kid tells me to hurry because they are closing. I told him it closes at 8 & he says not this location. So better change your hours of operation. I still had 5 minutes till closing & the kid rushes me. I asked for $30 of marinade meat & told him it was ok to go over a bit. Seemed he minded as well as when I asked for more marination to the meat. Another customer walked in & the kid got mad. As I was done paying he told the other gentleman to hurry & lock up. I've been to George Dieter & Edgemere location & never treated this way. Love their meat, but their attitude & prices are too high. Especially given attitude. Another meat market...

It used to be good, but couple of time I've bought packaged whole beef ribs, when I got home to prepare them for smoker as I opened the package, quickly a strong bad smell, so I took it back and I guess owner who used to be friendly up to that point...didn't really like that I returned and he gave another rib package this time he opened it, and actually smell fresh beef...so took it no problem lol and now doesn't welcome us like he used to....and then 3 wks ago bought some short beef ribs (not marinated) from theyre display case and and took it home and again same bad smell like the other time....not buying meat...

Been here a few times and always thought it was worth it till today. Paid $80+ for a few steaks, two salads, and 3 avocados. The meat was slimey and had a bad taste. We cooked it all and it all went in the trash. It's been a few hours and we're all feeling sick. It's a disgrace, that even at over $12 a pound, we can't even expect to get good, fresh meat. Wanted to treat the family to some good steaks and ended up all sick....
