After reading all these reviews I regret going to this hospital even more. The "Dr" I got was incredibly rude and made me feel like I was such a bother to attend to. I went in because I was having trouble breathing and I felt my heart was racing after being sick for over a week. The Dr literally said in the most sarcastic tone "Okay... So why did you decide to come in?" Making me feel embarrassed that I went (when I shouldn't have been) . The entire staff was HORRIBLE !!! From the front desk to the nurses she everyone in the back. I went in at night and you could tell they were all just hanging out. It was like I was making their lives more difficult for being there. The guy they sent in to take my blood didn't know what he was doing and hurt me so bad, my blood squirted EVERYWHERE! (If only you could see the bruise he left me) Then the nurse said she was going to prep my other untouched arm for an IV because she said I "looked" dehydrated, I protested and told her I didn't want the IV unless the Dr said I needed it to which she said "I'm already here and I have it ready, anyway I know she will order fluids". So there goes my other arm poked to, only for her to come back minutes later to tell me I'm being released. My heart rate was elevated but the tests she ordered came back normal so they said it was racing because I was in pain, so they sent me home and told me to take pain meds. Worst experience I've EVER had at a hospital. Read moreI recently came in for intense abdominal pain and was taken in right away. The employee who took my vitals was very helpful, sympathetic, and made sure I was comfortable. The staff member who placed my IV was also wonderful — they helped keep me calm (since I get nervous with needles) and made sure I felt okay afterward.
I also needed a CT scan, which I had never done before. The radiology technician was very knowledgeable, explained everything thoroughly, and made me feel safe and reassured throughout the process.
Unfortunately, my experience changed at discharge. The employee assisting me at that point was not empathetic or helpful. She handed me papers to sign but didn’t provide a surface to sign on, so I had to bend over and sign on my leg while still in pain. She removed my IV quickly, simply placed gauze, told me to fold my arm, and said, “You’re free to go.” I was in significant pain and moving slowly, but she offered no help and left the room right away.
It’s disappointing that such a positive experience with the rest of the team ended on that note. I didn’t get her name, but I remember her face. Read moreFront receptionist Marisol was the most unhelpful and rude. People come here for emergencies and there’s no help from her whatsoever. My brother fractured his clavicle and decided to go to the nearest emergency room. I called beforehand to ask her if they accepted my brothers insurance and she said yes. Upon arrival I handed her the Insurance card with the ID and admitting papers, she saw the insurance card, grabbed it & handed it back to me and told me insurance card will be asked for at a later time. After my brother was admitted I asked how payment was going to be managed because I had never been to a emergency room before. Upon doing so Marisol advises me the insurance is not accepted by the hospital. Note, I CALLED AND ASKED BEFORE ARRIVING. HANDED HER THE INSURANCE CARD AND SHE RETURNED BEFORE BEING ADMITTED. She could have told me my insurance was not accepted there. Receptions then continued to argue with me with a rude tone instead of handling in a professional way, if there was something I missed or I was misinformed about anything, she continued to verbally argue back and say she did not advise me through the phone, Yet I redialed the phone number one more time and Marisol was the one to answer.
