The shade tree mechanics at Spyder Off Road installed 8” 4.88 Nitro Gears in my brand new 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4 x 4 Sport around 03/7/2020, and they immediately started making noise that sounded like a tornado siren going off in my back seat. Sypder Off Road agreed to fix the problem, however instead of re-installing Nitro Gears they went behind my back and installed Yukon Gears. I also purchased ARB front and rear Lockers with an ARB Compressor and wifey kit because the gears were being replaced and it would be a good time to upgrade. It took another 4 months, of bringing my truck back forth to their shop in Horn Lake, before the shade tree mechanics at Spyder off - road gave up on fixing their blunders after installing front and rear gears for a second time. Finally, my brand new truck broke down in Tulsa Oklahoma while on a business trip. I had to stay 10 days in a hotel waiting to get my truck in at 4 Wheel Parts in Tulsa to fix the blunders Spyder Off-Road made. 4 Wheel Parts found the gears were set up wrong, they were grinding loudly because Spyder Off - Road didn't fill the front differential with 90 weight oil, and the compressor fittings were leaking air so bad the gears wouldn't lock up. I highly recommend 4 Wheel Parts because they offer a three year warranty on parts and labor and they do the work right. I had to pay for my gears twice, and I lost a lot of time from work. Spyder Off-Road says they'll return your money on their website, however this is a manufactured lie because they wouldn't give any of my money back even after seeing receipts and video documenting their blunders. In fact, they tried to blame me for not being able to tell them what they did wrong to cause my gears to grind while my truck was in their shop for four days before I left to go to Tulsa Oklahoma on business. I wouldn't trust these guys to fill the gas tank on my push lawnmower....
Read moreI recently bought a Jeep and wasn’t exactly sure what all had been modified or upgraded. I stopped by Spyder Off-Road to have them look it over, and I was really impressed with the experience.
CJ and his dad took the time to go through the front end with me, explain what I had, and walk me through what I might want to upgrade down the road, not trying to sell me anything, just helping me understand my setup so I can make smart decisions long-term.
They clearly know Jeeps inside and out, and it was refreshing to talk with people who are experienced, honest, and genuinely helpful. I left feeling much more confident about the Jeep and the direction I want to go with it.
Highly recommend Spyder Off-Road if you’re looking for real expertise and...
Read moreThey offered a free diagnostic, they kept the jeep for a whole month, they couldn't find the problem to a misfired cylinder. Waste of time. I don't know why I was overlooked as a potential customer was it my race or sex. When I drove my jeep back home it wouldn't drive. So I received my jeep worse than I took it there.
1 year later I have another mechanic look at it and he explains that the large vacuum line wasn't attached back to its original place.
This place is not trust worthy. Go find a reliable mechanic not...
