I thought long and hard before posting. Overall the food is delicious! I found them from Big Tae’s video on TikTok. I tried them and became OBSESSED! I went frequently because I live close by and I didn’t have any major problems. However! On my last visit, they had a younger looking guy at the window that I’ve never seen before. I assumed he was knew because he kept stopping to ask staff questions. I ordered oxtails with 2 sides and a fish plate with 2 sides. I’m used to their long wait but this time 45 mins had went by so I tried calling them to see if order was ready but no answer. Since I was already still on the lot sitting in car I drove back through the drive through. The same guy came to the window and I told him I was checking on my order because no one called and it had been 45 mins. He went and grabbed a different person who I assumed to be a supervisor. She apologized stating she didn’t know what happened to my order and would have someone bring it out immediately and gave me 2 free lemonades without me asking. I smiled and told her cool, I’ll go park. I had no attitude or anything neither did she. A young lady brought my food out and asked me to check. Everything was right except a side and no cornbread was in bag for both orders. She apologized and said that the guy never submitted my order that’s why I had to wait. Once she brought it out l left and went home to enjoy my meal. I always get their macaroni because of how good it is. My son and I both took a bite of the macaroni and immediately spit it out. It was extremely sour / spoil tasting. It tasted nothing like what I’ve ordered for months. I called to let them know about it still remaining calm and nice. All hell broke loose. They didn’t take ownership nor offer any resolution. She told me they changed the recipe and there was no way it was spoiled. I had someone else in house taste it right then and there w/o letting them know what to expect and they immediately said the same. It tasted spoil. She wouldn’t exchange for anything else so that’s 4 sides gone to waste. I called back to have a conversation with the manager and that’s where I reached Dre who said he was the owner. The way he talked to me was insane! He said they’ve sold over 180 plates and no one has EVER complained about their food. I told him I wasn’t trying to complain I just wanted to bring it to their attention and seek a resolution since we couldn’t eat the 4 sides. He kept yelling then accused me of coming through the drive through twice to get the same order so they weren’t remaking it again. I explained I didn’t get the order twice and that I came through the drive through because no one ever called me to come back. He then says they called. Once he gave me the time that they supposedly called and said Sir that’s the time I called you guys I can bring my phone to show you. He really got pissed. I never once raised my voice or argued but that’s all I got from him. He then said he would review cameras to see what happened because they had my tag number. So, I asked after they reviewed and he saw that I didn’t pick up the first order then what? Can I get an apology? You think they called back or apologized ? No! This is why small businesses fail because of the disrespect and riding a high horse that can easily fall! The food is good and I understand mistakes happen. I told him I wasn’t upset and would still support, just do better by the people who are keeping you in business! I no longer tell people about them and will probably never go again just based on how he talked to me because 2 weeks later his words...

I’ve tried really hard to like this place. This was my third and final visit. First time I got the ox tails. Which were actually very good. However to me no different than I can make when a I make a chuck roast. This was my first time having ox tails so I don’t see the hype. Like I said they were good but when they taste no different than chuck roast save yourself some money and make a chuck roast. A couple of months ago I tried the whole catfish. And I wanted really hard to like that too, but I couldn’t. It wasn’t cooked quite as hard as I like my fish and not only that had a very muddy taste. I get it, catfish are bottom feeders and tend to have this taste but if you soak them before cooking them then you can get some of that flavor out. And I’m willing to bet they don’t take the time. Well, today was the final time I’ll visit. I ordered a pork chop dinner. And idk why they cooked them so long but they did. The meat was so dry and hard it hurt my mouth to try and eat. I couldn’t finish it. It would have had a great flavor too. But I couldn’t get past how hard it was to eat. Oh and the slaw had a weird taste. The potato salad is good if you like yours on the sweet side. I don’t but I knew it would most likely be that way so I got it anyway bc I can still eat potato salad that is on sweeter side. So that was ok if it’s your thing. I just can’t get over the pork chops though. I wish I could give a better review but at this time I don’t think they deserve such high ratings.
