Cut and Pride Barbershop — Local services in Houston

Just moved in to Houston and spent months looking for the “Right Barbershop”, jumping from barbershop to another due to many having barbers that are very in the mindset of fast cut is a good cut. Found Gus and I’m relieved I can finally put an end to the barbershop hunting. Immediately got welcomed when I entered the room that’s highly artistic and full of color, super clean and well kept shop. Gus Immediately broke the ice between me him and the person he was currently working on with his charisma and down to earth personality. Three strangers having an amazing conversation like if we just knew each other all our lives all because Gus initiated and removed that silent awkwardness. Gus was very patient when I showed what I wanted, recommended a few things that would help me. At the end of the day I got exactly what I wanted and forgot about how bad of a day I was having, this is more then a barbershop it’s a third space for everyone to lighten up and have a good time while getting taken care of with an amazing service and a very understanding barber. But none of them really took the time and interest in hearing what I wanted. I'm not very good at the hair thing so I was looking for a lot of advice and guidance. But here at Cut and Pride, Gus provided that and more.

It felt like I've known him forever and we immediately clicked. He has an assuring and calm demeanor. With the limited means of my aging hair, he made it look good and I'm excited about the future on what we can do with it. A handsome little shop with a warm and professional Barber. I came in based on other google reviews and was not disappointed! Gus is very experienced and, as I learned chatting with him, comes from a long legacy of Houston barbers with a strong connection to this area (también se habla español). I've had trouble finding a good barber, so my hair was getting long after several months without a trim. He asked what I wanted, and when I said I wasn't sure, he patiently explained what he thought would be best for my hair.
