We were in Houston for a 10K along the Buffalo Bayou. After the run I popped into the visitor’s center located in the Water Works in search of a map of the city, as our hotel was out of maps. And, our history tour guide, even sang a beautiful song for us so we could hear the notes reverberate throughout the Cistern! Whether you live in Houston or not, this is a great quick activity that entertains...

The Bayou still serves storm run-off, so the trash is disheartening; but you can view the efforts to keep it clean made by the partnership on the tour. If you're looking for something educational and fun to do, this is well...
