Small park with nothing but a short walking trail, few trees, and an old path. They had a few benches. There is a tent ⛺️ city for homeless close by so I feel like at night stay away. I say other homeless living under a bridge at the corner of the park. It was a good place to stop and get a quick walk in and leave. Not a place for a picnic her family.

Just moved downtown and found this place to be a perfect green space for my doggy. No addicts or any kind of craziness that was mentioned from much older posts. Enjoy!

Historic area that should be better maintained by the city. Sylvester?! Homeless hangout during day. Probably risky at night. Use caution!

As stated in the other review DO NOT go to this park. This is a congregation of Houston's worst.

I skateboard down the Heights Hike and Bike trail often and it goes right passed this park. It's always full of men and a handful of women who are obviously drug addicts and prostitutes. The entire park is full of them, it's like the Houston druggie base of operations.

As I said, I've skateboarded passed this a lot, never had any problems with any of the people there, but then again it was daylight and I'm male. I would Highly advise against women going anywhere near this area of town regardless of the...

I do not recommend visitors or your average person to visit this park unless if you plan to do some charity work (preferably with an organization or service). The reason I state this is because there are at any given time 25-50+ homeless individuals staying at this park. Many of which are just homeless but a few others may have mental health issues or problems with addiction. They are not violent or dangerous criminals but precaution should be taken when traveling through the area (don't travel alone, etc.) You have to also realize that they are humans too who still deserve respect...

I'm a traveller from Australia with time to kill in Houston, I thought it might me be a nice walk along the river before a long flight. Very run down & a lot of homeless under the FWY bridges almost a shanty town of 50+ in some places. I felt very uncomfortable & was concerned for my safety, but to be fair I was only challenged by 1 mentally ill gentleman. Would not recommend this area to anyone & would never visit after dark! As with many cities globally we need address the issues of...
