Being a customer that comes to this store nearly everyday, today was the worse coming from a manager. The past three days I have been looking for a product which the produce manager advised that I will come back the next day. Before coming into the store today, January 4 at 6 AM, I checked online to see if the product was available and it was. I got to the store and asked the young man that I spoke to previously about that same product if he had the product waiting for me as Lorenzo stated. So he went to the back and got the product for me. I went ahead and I had already put down my shopping list on the app. Got the total, proceeded to check out and the prices were different. I asked the young lady why was the price is different. She could not answer so she went to the manager and asked.. The manager just gave her a quick response, she came back and told me. So I asked to speak to the manager. When she came over, everything was just a no and take it up with corporate. I asked if i could just purchase online and just picked the products that was already in the bag. She said that if i do it online, they would have to shop for it. The product wasnât available anymore after i purchased it. As I tell her, it doesnât make sense. She caught an attitude with me and said it was too early in the morning to be arguing.. I wasnât arguing. I just didnât understand why the prices online were different than the ones here in the store. Her attitude and her demeanor was totally irrelevant and uncalled for. Then the young lady Kendra came over, volunteered herself to help me work through the issue that I was having as far as the prices And she figured it out. Problem solved! The reason why I am writing this review is because Kendra went above and beyond to Fix the issue versus the manager just instantly saying no and not want to do anything but stand around and delegate. The manager didnât even want to make an effort. Had she wanted to make an effort, there would be no writing a-review at all. I Just cannot express how important it is when dealing with the public. You never know âWHOâ youâre coming in contact with. The managerâs name was Kiki. I ask her for her name she sarcastically pointed at her name tag.. I told her that was unnecessary, just tell me your name. Smh. But i do want to say thank you to KENDRA for going above and beyond to make the effort on helping me fix my complaint. I would love to have her as my employee. Sheâs a problem solver. Need more people like her in this field. HECK, she should be the manager instead of Kee Kee. (I wished i remembered her real name)
I would like to hear back from someone in reference to this matter. Thank you...
Read moreI know this review is a little late , but certain things just didnât sit well with me , so here I am posting a review now. Over Easter weekend , I received some of the poorest service I have ever received from any store. I wanted to buy several items from the meat counter , yet I was ignored for over 10 mins , while a slim guy named John ignored me and decided to help other customers that arrived after I did at the counters. He had no problem helping the ladies out , but when it came down to providing service to me , I was bottom priority and it took a person from the seafood department to get me assistance for some items I wanted to purchase. That is discrimination at its finest. The gentleman that did help me out was a meat cutter and he provided great service to me, yet the person in charge of the area John , slim kid, ignored me to the fullest. Guess my money doesnât mean anything to this store. I did not let that keep me down , I kept shopping and wanted some meat from the deli counter and yet once again was ignored as I waited over 5 minutes trying to get the ladies attention to get service. If the particular items where in the cooler , I would of picked from there instead of getting counter service. Yet the two young ladies wanted to pay more attention to their phone than provide service that HEB as a corporation pays them to do so. Most of the staff I have 0 issue with, itâs just these individuals that left a poor taste in my mouth. I want to spend my money that I work for on certain products , and this location failed to deliver on it. Iâve never ran into these issues at other locations. Iâm not gonna stop shopping at HEB as a whole , Iâm just gonna give my money to another location that provides adequate service to its customers. Felt highly disrespected in this regard. Upper management should take these issues more seriously. Spent a thousands of dollars at this store and have receipts to prove it , yet they act like my money is poisoned and I believe itâs best to go into a store with employees that actually care for...
Read moreMy partner walked into HEB at 10:51pm to grab a birthday cake (posted hours are until 11:00pm) and was told by the police officer at the door âthe manager said to not let anybody else inâ After a back-and-forth debate where he pointed to the cake he was intending on buying and saying he would be out of the store before closing time, he was still denied entry after requesting said manager be called. While I recognize it is sometimes inconvenient for customers to purchase goods during posted hours, especially on a busy holiday weekend, it is definitely not a great look for establishing a customer base. I live in the neighborhood, and was certainly happy when an HEB came inâbut the terrible management of this location continues to send me to alternate locations. The staff roll their eyes when paper is requested instead of plastic, or they say they have no paperâwhich is sometimes true (maybe order more?), or sometimes just said because it is a mild inconvenience. Giant metal dollies clog the aisles while HEB shoppers for online orders have extended personal conversations amongst themselves without concern to shoppers trying to navigate around their carts. And to top off, every time you leave the store through the only designated exit you are harassed by Reliant employees to sign up with their electricity plan. Is HEB not earning enough of a profit that they need to lease time to alternate companies to harass their customers? They even set up a miniature tax desk with a company during tax season to similarly intimidate their customers to file their taxes through them. This wasnât placed in their montrose or buffalo speedway location and frankly seems pretty predatory to the lower income community they find themselves in. This location is a disappointment to the work that HEB has done to establish themselves in Texas, and Iâm not to only one to say I...
