With the exception of Brian and a sweet little cashier on my LAST visit there, this store is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, THE ABSOLUTE WORST ON CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They have soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people standing around, talking to each other (I'm talking the front end people) and doing LESS than NOTHING! IF they decide to respond to cashier's page for help (forget about responding to a customer who has gotten locked on one of their MANY self check lanes-THAT'S NOT going to happen) they will make sure they they have reached a a convienent pause in their conversation with their co-worker, before they even begin to slowly saunter over to the area that needs help, while either continueing thier conversation shouting to the co-worker & including other co-workers over their shoulder; OR, they will s-t-r-o-l-l over, continuing their conversation. The customer is NEVER acknowledged, made eye contact with, and frequently they have gone back to talking (if they ever paused to begin with) WITHOUT HAVING RESOLVED THE PROBLEM! My (87 year old) mother had her Rx at the pharmacy FOR EVER, until about a week ago, when some snot-nosed little pharmacy tech (a fraction of my age) decided to tell me that "Without a Dr.'s prescription, we can't even give you an asipirin" I had forgotten to have my office call in her refill for her thyroid......I work for the doctor, I am an RN, and I hand write all his prescrptions because no one can read his hand writing. I asked her if I could go around the corner and call it in on my cell phone.......'well, we have a problem w/ family....." I said fine, how about I go around the corner into the freezer section and call it in as one of our medical assisstants? At this juncture, the pharmacist agreed that she could re-fill, just this once....as I stood there, my ears bruning w/anger, frustration and exhaustion (try being the sole care giver for an 87 year old-and work full time) I made the admittedly snide comment to the prissy little pharm tech (I liked the last one, she was at least empathetic and had a sense of humor) that "Geez, you'd think it was oxycontin." That was when she decided to stated the above....'we can't even give her an aspirin...." My reply, "listen, sister; I've beeen at this longer than you've been ALIVE, and the LAST thing I need right now is a LECTURE from YOU!" I finished my shopping, which is where I ran into that FINAL nice little cashier who was having a horrible time getting my grapes to ring up correctly, I gathered my pending prescrptions, and soundly thanked Brian (front-end supervisor, and much over-whelmed) as the nice little cashier showed up to hand me my car keys, which of course, I had forgotten...and I thanked him as well, for ending my business FOREVER with THAT KROGER! It was as though a HUGE River Oaks weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and, from now on, I will gladly patronize Disco Kroger, if I MUST patronize a Kroger. At least the girls there with laugh with you, or at least stop talking long enough to make eye contact. However, my & my mom's Rx are NOW being taken care of beautifully at the Randall's on Shepherd & Westhiemer. Not only are the pharmacists & techs, SMART & NICE, they EVEN LOOK UP from their computer screens while the customer is...

Rating: ⭐⭐
I recently had an extremely frustrating encounter with the girl at customer service at Kroger's while attempting to purchase a money order. I must say that this experience caused me a monumental waste of time and inconvenience, unlike any other I have encountered at Kroger's before.
Upon approaching the customer service counter, I expected a smooth and efficient transaction, as I have experienced in the past. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The girl assisting me seemed unprepared and lacked the necessary knowledge to handle my request promptly.
To begin with, she appeared disinterested and disengaged throughout the entire interaction. She did not greet me with a friendly demeanor or attempt to make me feel welcomed as a customer. Instead, she seemed preoccupied and uninterested in providing quality service.
As I explained my request for a money order, the girl appeared confused and unsure of the process. She fumbled with the computer system, struggling to input the correct information and wasting precious time. It was evident that she lacked proper training in handling such transactions, which only added to my frustration.
Moreover, her lack of effective communication skills further compounded the issue. She failed to provide clear instructions or explanations, leaving me feeling confused and uncertain about the entire process. I had to repeatedly ask for clarification, which prolonged the transaction unnecessarily.
What should have been a simple and efficient task turned into a time-consuming ordeal, causing me unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. This level of incompetence and lack of professionalism is highly disappointing, especially considering my previous positive experiences at Kroger's.
I sincerely hope that Kroger's addresses this issue promptly and ensures that their customer service staff receives the necessary training to handle various transactions effectively. As a loyal customer, I expect better service and a more seamless experience when conducting business at Kroger's.
In conclusion, my encounter with the girl at customer service at Kroger's was a monumental waste of time and inconvenience while attempting to purchase a money order. Her lack of preparedness, knowledge, and professionalism left me extremely dissatisfied. I hope that Kroger's takes the appropriate steps to improve their customer service and prevent similar experiences...
Read moreVery unhappy with this store. I went to the 9pm. Did our grocery shopping and got around $350 worth of items. And I noticed that there is only self checkout open. That sucks. I got a lot of groceries and I'm going to have to bag them myself. But that's no biggie, I don't mind. But then when I'm doing self checkout, the lady at the front asks me how many 12 pack of sodas I had, I says 3 because it was Buy 2 get 1 free, she told me I had to get another one because it was buy 2 get 2 free and the coupon wouldn't work unless I had 4 boxes of soda. But I was 100% sure that it was B2G1 because I read the coupon as I was getting the sodas. But she was certain that I had to get another one. Turns out I was right so I paid $11 because this employee was wrong. but that's not the only thing. She didn't like the way we bagged our groceries and she kept telling us how to scan items and bag them. Maybe we were going to slow but we had $350 worth of items so it was gonna take a while. I felt so rushed I'm pretty sure I double scanned items and I felt so backseated and berated while using self checkout and truly I just wanted to be left alone while I bagged my groceries, and truly I felt like I shouldn't have to bag my own groceries when the cart was as full like that. And then she's telling me about coupons and telling me that I should get the app. (I already had coupons and the app but just didn't get many items that were on sale)
And it was overall a very frustrating experience just not have a line I could go to so someone could bag my groceries, but made worse by this one employee standing in the self checkout area telling me how to more efficiently do a job that I don't have. And I paid more than I should have. She made me feel like I was stupid. Like oh my god I never want to come back here again because of this...
