Triple Pepper is a standout Chinese Sichuan restaurant.
The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. From appetizers and flavorful snacks to seafood, traditional favorites, dry pots, rice, noodles, and vegetables, there’s something for everyone. The portions are generous and the ingredients are fresh.
The ambiance strikes a balance between cozy and upscale, providing a comfortable setting for both casual lunches and intimate dinners. The staff is attentive and ensures a pleasant dining experience.
Combination Lo Mein – A well-balanced mix of proteins and vegetables with perfectly cooked noodles. It had great flavor without being overly greasy. A solid choice for noodle lovers.
Spicy Sour Eggplant – A delicious balance of heat and tanginess. The eggplant is soft yet holds its shape well, absorbing the bold flavors of chili and vinegar beautifully.
Spicy Screaming Chicken – Aptly named, this dish packs a fiery punch. The chicken is tender and juicy. Definitely a must-try for spice lovers.
Three Pepper Lamb – A fantastic dish with tender, well-seasoned lamb pieces tossed with a trio of peppers. It delivers heat, depth, and a hint of smokiness.
Mouthwatering Chicken – True to its name, this dish is a highlight. Served chilled in a spicy, aromatic sauce, the chicken is incredibly tender with just the right amount of numbing Sichuan spice.
Pork with Pickled Mustard Greens – A comforting dish with a nice contrast between the rich pork and the tangy mustard greens. The flavors are well-balanced and pair wonderfully with rice.
Ants Climbing a Tree – A classic Sichuan dish made with glass noodles and ground pork. The noodles soak up the spicy, savory sauce, making each bite addictive.
Dry Fried Green Beans – Perfectly blistered and crispy on the outside while still tender inside. The seasoning is spot on, with bits of garlic enhancing the flavor.
Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) – Steamed to perfection, these dumplings have a thin, delicate wrapper encasing a flavorful broth and juicy pork filling. A must-order for dumpling fans.
Brown Sugar Rice Cakes – A delightful dessert with a chewy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The brown sugar glaze adds a deep caramelized flavor that makes it hard to stop eating.
Overall, Triple Pepper delivers consistently bold and authentic Sichuan flavors. Whether you’re in the mood for fiery spice, comforting noodles, or a sweet treat, their menu has something to impress...
Read moreLocated in the previous Pepper Twins location on West Gray, Triple Pepper has taken the ambience up a notch with their new opening—and all of it is a comforting success. The ambient music and the black/grey/gold/silver color scheme throughout adds a depth to the building, and the soft music put me in the mood to chow down. Additionally, the new layout opens up the room much more widely and makes the dining room feel more spacious and filled with natural light.
My dad and I ordered both the Spicy Crispy Fish and the Spicy Screaming Chicken, and both dishes had more flavor and lingering enjoyable spice than we could have ever hoped.
The Spicy Screaming Chicken acted beautifully over a plate of rice, as the flavor and oils and heat seeped into the rice below to create a flavorful medley that helps fill you up along with blast you with flavor. The cuts of chicken were tender and in perfect bite-size morsels, and the additional peppers truly made the dish spicy. A solid 9.5/10 and my highlight of the meal.
The Spicy Crispy Fish stood up to expectations just as much, with perhaps the nicest CRUNCH I’ve encountered on a seafood dish in recent memory. It was salty, savory, full of flavor, and the fish within was cooked to perfection.
Even better, the waitress was as quick with iced tea refills as anyone could possibly be—keeping my dad’s thirst quenched and creating the perfect opportunities for small talk for me to catch my breath between spicy bites.
All in all, Triple Pepper is a MASTERFUL addition to the food landscape of the neighborhood, and my dad and I will happily be back in the future to try more items off the expansive menu. I would recommend Triple Pepper to even the most stubborn critics and be confident that they will enjoy both the food and...

If you're craving authentic Sichuan flavors, look no further than Tripple Pepper! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant aromas filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a delightful exploration of bold, fiery, and aromatic dishes, each one executed to perfection.
We started with the Dan Dan Noodles, and they were a perfect balance of spicy, savory, and tangy—just the right amount of heat! The Mapo Tofu was rich and silky, with that signature numbing heat from the Sichuan peppercorns. Every bite had that perfect combination of tender tofu and robust sauce that kept me going back for more.
The Kung Pao Chicken was another highlight—crispy chicken, crunchy peanuts, and just the right kick of spice. The Sichuan Hot Pot was a feast for the senses, with a rich, flavorful broth and a fantastic selection of fresh ingredients to dip and cook right at the table.
The service was top-notch too—attentive but not overbearing, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations for spice levels and pairings.
Every dish was a journey of flavors, and the heat was perfectly balanced for those who love spice but don’t want it to overwhelm the taste. The vibe is casual yet vibrant, and I felt like I was getting an authentic taste of Sichuan without having to fly halfway around the world. I’ll definitely be coming back!
