I visited Oct 27th 2018.
Although I ended up having a decent time here and I really enjoyed the costume contest and meeting thw owners (and family), I am giving this place 2 stars because of the shady business going on, there, that the owner needs to know about.
The pretty blonde, at the bar, was doing good until my drink was stolen right infront of her. She simply said "Ain't my problem," and brushed it off, like she didn't give AF about her service, at all, to the 3 of us. We won't be going to her anymore, including my friend who does there, weekly.
The security-guard, who was in on the drink-stealing thing, with the spanish lesbian couple doing it...who looked at me like he was interested in helping us find this person, not long before he hugged the theif. Is he getting tipped, for doing this? I would question his ability to do his job.
And ofcourse, the theif...an overweight Spanish woman with a skinny Spanish girlfriend...I'll post a picture, below. She simply handed the drink to her gf, and her gf put a straw in it. If it happens to you, listen for the laughter. That was all the sign I needed...and drink was in the other girls hand.
So the question is...will I go back? Only if I can't get my friend to go elsewhere, and with mace. Plus I'll either drink, beforehand, or only do shots...because I'm sure this theif isn't going to stop unless she literally gets thrown...
Read moreDo NOT go to this place. Some friends and I went there to watch the Super Bowl. It was bad from the beginning. First they were late getting the game on opting to let the DJ continue to play music instead. Everyone there missed the sound for some of the opening. On top of that they were doing Squares at $20 a square for the game. They didn't even draw the numbers to put them on the board until under 2 minutes left in the first quarter so the score was pretty much set. A guy that works there won 1st quarter pot. At the end of the second quarter some random guy whose name wasn't even on the board initially ended up winning 2nd quarter score. I asked the manager about that, he tried to show me a photo of the board that had the guy's name on it. The photo showed his name was NOT on the board just before the end of the quarter. I asked for my $20 back because I know when I'm being scammed. Manager told me to leave. My friends still inside plus I had an open tab. I asked security to go get my card from the bar. Lying manager told me they wouldn't run the charge. That also was a lie. Lucky for me it was a long halftime or my friends and I would have missed third quarter trying to find a new bar to watch the game. This place is shady as hell and dont know how to treat their customers....
Read moreI have never in my life been denied entrance to a bar until last night at this establishment. We came in a group of 8 which mainly featured visitors from California, but the bouncer stopped my friend and I (the two gay men in the group) to tell us we violate dress code because we had small messenger bags. We did read all of the rules including no excessive face/neck tattoos, no plain white shirts, no excessive jewelry, BASICALLY NO GHETTO.. but nothing was mentioned about messenger bags on the written rules as of 8/24/2024. There was no problem with females bringing in larger purses though. We felt that what we experienced was an effort to keep LGBT people out of this bar. Honestly, I didn’t care much because I don’t like being in places where I’m unwanted and there are countless nightlife options on Washington, but it angered my friend and the visitors he was showing around Houston. The worst part was when the bouncer was visibly pointing and laughing at us as we walked away to Sugar Room next door (which was wonderful). Lincoln’s bouncer’s attitude and actions were completely unprofessional, but I guess that’s why he’s...
