Wier Park — Attraction in West University Place

Great park for kiddos! I like that it is fenced in and has a huge cover for one of the jungle gyms (there are 2). The area is big enough to run around and play. Unfortunately, there is no restroom area within the proximity, but it is not a deal breaker. There is a tennis and basketball court off to the side, but still within the same area, so as my kids get bigger, we can change up the activity. We absolutely loved it. There wasn't a designated parking lot and a lot of no parking signs posted, so finding somewhere to park can be a hassle, but the playground area is awesome. There are two playgrounds in case your kid gets bored easily or there are a lot of people there. There are two picnic tables and benches surrounding the area. There is a no pets allowed sign posted at the gate. There are really great swings and a lot of them...

The larger play area, for ages 5+ is covered which is wonderful. It is pretty tall but toddlers could still enjoy it with the help of parents. Some of the play equipment, such as the swings, were in the sun and were too hot to enjoy on a sunny Houston day. Well kept park. Not many spots to park but Im sure it's meant for people to walk to...
