I initially left a positive review for Coco Nails, but after multiple disappointing visits, I feel obligated to share my honest experience. I have been a loyal customer for a year in a half but the inconsistency in service, lack of professionalism, and questionable pricing practices have become too much to ignore. The manager — though patient at first — began treating me differently over time. I often came in with specific designs or ideas, and rather than working with me respectfully, I was made to feel like a burden. Basic requests like drawing a simple flower became an issue, with techs showing visible attitude and frustration. What takes them 10 seconds is treated like a huge favor. One of my biggest concerns is how prices are constantly changed or added without explanation. I was charged for things like “shaping” or “long natural nails,” which were never extra before. I’ve been quoted one price and charged another — $5 here, $10 there — often for standard services like adding a line or choosing a different polish color. It feels dishonest. On a recent visit, I noticed the color inside two bottles didn’t match, even though the numbers were the same. When I pointed it out and asked to change the color, the tech responded with defensiveness, using reverse psychology to shift blame onto me. I wasn’t even asking for a refund — just a simple change — and instead, I was told it couldn’t be redone and then rushed through the rest of the service. Tools were skipped, polish wasn’t smoothed, and care was clearly withheld once I spoke up. Later that same day , the shellac was chipping. I will take my service back to a nail salon on Voss / Westheimer and my favorite in Montgomery on 1488. ( they actually care about their customers and don’t hustle them ) This salon seems to cater to customers who don’t question anything and are willing to overpay without noticing. If you ask questions or express dissatisfaction, you’re treated with irritation and often charged more. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re okay with surprise charges, inconsistent service, and being treated differently based on how much you spend. I will not be returning. All of my real nails cracked across the middle (see photo), and I’ve been in pain ever since my last visit here. The manager actually told the nail tech to stop giving me proper nail care just because I didn’t want designs. On top of that, they charged me extra $10 for “shaping” even though my nails were already shaped from the last set, and the manager refused to remove the charge, saying they charge for long nails—even though these are my natural nails that grew out. I’ve never had my nails split like this before in my life, and it’s been nothing but bleeding and burning for weeks.

This place came highly recommended and it was everything I hoped for and more. Literally the best nail job I've ever gotten.

I would not recommend this place. I came in and was greeted and seated. I am waiting for someone to do my nails and I look over to my right and a woman that came in after me is already getting her nails done. I was a bit confused but the horror continues. I’m waiting for about 15 mins then someone comes up to me to pick my color which I did. Waited another 15 mins and finally the nail tech is there. As she’s filing and drilling away, she is very rough. No customer service skills at all. She telling me to relax my hand but also being really rough which is crazy. She finally finish drilling away the old gel polish I had and pulls out dip powder. I said that’s not what I asked for. She has a weird attitude and the receptionist talks to me and ask what I wanted done. I just waited a gel nail set. No dipping powder. The receptionist or owner (idk) was nice and explained to me that certain nail techs are not specialized in hard gel application. I’m like okay I understand. So, the rough nail tech leaves, never said sorry or what she was about to do, and I didn’t see her ever again. I was confused but I’m sitting there like what’s going on. Wait another 10 mins. I got up and just wanted to pay for the drilling and filing then they insisted they could do the hard gel for me. So I stayed A guy did my nails and he was a little gentler than the other woman but it was a still a bit uncomfortable. The tools they use are very harsh and cut deep into your skin! I am bleeding on 4 fingers! The design I wanted which was a little complex but not really was a design they posted on their social media. It doesn’t look the same but it’s not too bad when squinting with no glasses on. After all that trouble, I came out bleeding and barely designed nails that was $85. Ha! Never again

This was by For the worst experience of my life I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and I was never refused service because someone had to pick up their son. I paid before my service so basically they try to rob me, i was told that someone else would do my nail and no one ever came. They kept mentioning tips . I told them i have cash. They even refused to take off my nails. The whole Time they were talking among each other and not listening to the service that I wanted. the lady was burning my toe and seem frustrated she had to fix it I would like for the owner to review the cameras and see how I was discriminated against. I was already having a bad day because my mother is in a coma and they were not trying to understand any to understand anything. I was asking i was nice a possible. She even ask me to turn the massage part off while she do my nails( that never got finished. I asked for a manager several times and also the owner information I was informed that the owner live out of state and no one will provide me with any information or any names of the woman who was supposed to do my nails please review the cameras to see how i was treated . The manager totally ignored me . Im aware that it was close to closing time it was around 6 30, but the lady who was supposed to do my nails was still there after 7 o'clock when she told me she couldnt finish my nails because she had to pick up her son .They put the tips on and just left me there. Very unprofessional I Had a important event tonight. Only person was nice was the receptionist but she had no info and inform me she's just the...
