This WAS my favorite resale shop in Houston great prices some real quality goods ..However my last visit there was unforgettable for the wrong reasons ..!! Manager lady Is Raceist vulger and rude..!! This is not black ppl friendly ... i baught something weeks before wasnt working so i took it back , that manager tall white lady was plesant nice and courteous , i didn't see anything for the exchange , ran out of time so i ask to come in another time been i was a regular there i left , when i came back i identified something and took it to the checkout , they had to get the manager approval ok with me she came out seeing i was black ..she started talking down to me i politely refuse to leave until i get my money she went as far as call the Police yes the Police however thats their Raceist weapon , however i eventually got a store credid then she came back out and went on a tirade again ..i wasent going to leave without my stuff and made a purchase which she inflates the price ..however ms store manager as i mentioned I'm a engineer ..!! And is this a Christian base store..?? If so what God do you worship ? oh i will continue letting my fellow blacks know my experience in this now...
Read moreI have been by this place many times, trying to give it a chance. I rely solely on thrifting to clothe my family. They send emails with special deals, I rush over, spend an hour combing the racks, try things on, get to checkout, and they say "oh THESE aren't on sale?!" Like....what?! They point to the white tags and say they are exempt from sales. I show them the email that says nothing about this, I ask why not make that clear before someone wastes all that time trying things on and such? I am a bargain shopper and this little resale store is a hidden treasure. Even though it competes with a nearby store that's much larger, St. Christopher's Resale Shop is a "MUST SEE."

The volunteers are friendly, the store is well-organized, and proceeds go to more than just the church. This place really wants to help people as it contributes to the homeless, the terminally ill, people caught up in the legal system, the disabled, and the weary travelers among us.

These people treat people like they matter. God wants us to love one another, and I have had my spirit renewed as a result of shopping here. I say this because now I volunteer here. This place feels like "home" for me. It has shown me the love of God through the other people who work/volunteer here.

Maybe you might consider being a volunteer too --- at least go...
