Overall, I found these headshots to be a good value. It's great to get the images immediately, have a number to choose from, and of such high resolution. I was in and out in maybe 20 minutes, and it could definitely be done even quicker.
The building on Blossom St has no sign and looks like a private residence, so I wasn't sure I was in the right place--it would be helpful to add some signage to make this clearer. The building seems to be a photography studio that has other purposes and the "lobby" area of the home has the studio pod. There were people talking and doing other things in the area--not an issue for me. There is a restroom and a changing room with mirror down a small hall from the booth area, but there is no mirror close by.
There's an option to select your lighting at the beginning (even lighting, lighting coming form the left/right, etc.), but there doesn't seem to be a way to change this during the session.
My only complaint was the lighting in the area between photos--it's so dark that you really have no idea what your photo will look like until you take it. You can see an outline of yourself and some details (I could see my white shirt and general facial features), but I could not see things like hairs that had gone astray. Also, you must lean forward to reach the tablet to take the photo, so you have to quickly try to get yourself back into place in the ~3 seconds between pressing the button and the photo being taken--I think a remote would be a nice addition to help with this. As a result, I didn't feel like I got to curate the pictures as much as I'd have liked.
You get 15 photos, and you can retake up to 10 (so essentially 25 tries), but once you decide to retake a photo, there is no preview at all, so it's complete guesswork.
I would definitely use this again in the future as it's very quick and relatively inexpensive, and I think a few small changes could really enhance...

I originally booked my appointment sadly for the day after the major storm hit and well mother nature took out the power in most places.
The Co-Founder Chris emailed me that same night to let me know that they have to reschedule my appointment. They included Ashley who was the person who assisted me at the location and everything was worked out. The communication was top notch!
About one hour before your appointment they send you a courtesy reminder text. I was running behind due to the closed off streets from damages from the storm. I called in worried I wouldn’t have enough time but was told to take my time and to get there safe. Upon my arrival there was a parking spot right in front of the entrance which helped out a lot!
I rang the doorbell and Ashley greeted me. She pointed me to the dressing room which had a coat rack, a vanity and floor to ceiling mirror. They provided hairspray and a few products to touch up your look.
Ashley walked me over to the pod and explained to me how to use it and helped me choose my lighting.
You get 15 shots & 10 retakes! The retakes were a game changer.
After I was done, I received my pictures 10 minutes afterwards.
Before attending your appointment I suggest you practice your poses. I used Pinterest as a reference.
I can not express how satisfied I was with the entire process! Thank you studio pod!
One thing I do love is once you complete your session you can sign up with your own exclusive code to help others get 20% off and in return you get points towards your next session. The points build up towards your next free session. It’s a win win for everyone.
Feel free to use my link toward your session!...
Read moreI have always hated getting traditional headshots because I never knew how they would turn out from the few photos the photographer would take. Someone recommended StudioPod when I was in need of a quick headshot and the entire process and results were better than I could have imagined. Booking was very easy with a ton of availability across all locations. I even had to reschedule to a different time within 12 hours, and easily was able to without any penalty. I went to the location at Sesh Coworking and it was easy to find. It’s also helpful that Studio Pod provides great info on Instagram.
I was under the impression that this would somewhat work like a traditional photo booth — that you would start the session and it would count down and continuously take 15 photos on a regular interval. This is not the case! You essentially get full control over your 15 minute session to take your photos when you choose at the touch of a button. This allows you to review your results and reposition or quickly change photos or positions if you desire.
My one tiny critique is that it was a little hard to pick the lighting option as it did not give a good preview of each. The lighting in the booth would change but it was hard to tell how this would affect the overall results. Thankfully whatever I chose turned out perfectly.
I’m obsessed with my results and have recommended to all my friends. Not sure I will ever want to sit for traditional headshots again! The price is fair for 15 professional photos and the convenience, but after the actual experience and getting my results, I think that this is...
