Horrible management customer service. This past year we had twin boys and have spent thousands in Target as it had become our to go place for anything we needed. However this past weekend left a very bad taste. We went into the store at Memorial for what we expected to be a quick hassle free return of a $30 birthday gift our in laws gave our babies. For some reason the lady at the return counter was having trouble processing the return and in order to avoid holding up the line we decided to move aside and politely ask a lead/manager by the name of Matt Mutschler if he could please assist since we had the item in it's original packaging and online receipt with the bar code that clearly stated "this barcode works as your receipt for in-store returns". He very rudely and in a condecending manner refused to even look at the item or the receipt and told us that if the system was not finding it there was nothing he could do. We asked how we could proceed to return the item in this situation since it was purchased 3 days ago and he said he couldn't think of any options and proceeded to walk away. Without even looking at the clearly new unused item in it's original box and the receipt, he did quickly mention it may be an old item we were trying to return. Since we had never had this issue before, we decided to call Target's customer service from the store and they said that what we had is all we needed to process the return. We approched Matt again while he was speaking with a cashier and addressed this to him. Since she quickly noticed he had no interest in assisting or even looking at the item or receipt she offered to give it a try herself to see if she could help. It took her less than a minute to process the refund and said she did not understand why the original cashier at the return counter was not able to process and that she might be a new employee. I understand new employees need time to get acquainted with the system however there is no excuse for a supervisor/manager to refuse to even try to assist when one of the associates is having trouble processing what should have been a simple return. We hope this gets to someone with some authority at Target and is addressed and given serious attention since I'm sure we are not the only customers that have been treated in this very unprofessional manner by...
Read moreThe entire experience was horrible with regards to customer service. I first waited approximately 10 minutes in electronics before an employee assisted. Once the employee, I believe her name was Crystal, came to assist she shouted from down the aisle asking what I needed. Another customer and myself both informed her the type of AirPods we needed as we were both looking for the same kind. The employee went to the back room to get them but got the wrong ones for both of us and as she was walking away I saw the employee roll her eyes. Then she proceeded to talk to another employee about us while I could still see her down the same aisle we were all standing in. Eventually the employees both looked back and saw me watching at her so she went into the back to get the correct AirPods. Later afterwards I ended up having to order them online as I had card issues. Crystal informed me that since I now placed the order online I had to go to customer relations in order to get them. When I arrived at customer relations I was told even though Crystal had the AirPods in her hands I still had to wait up to 2 hours for the online order to be fulfilled. I received a confirmation email stating that my online order was placed and was told I would receive an email stating when the order was ready to be picked up. I arrived back at customer relations about 2 hours later inquiring if the order was ready and the employee quickly went to the back and got it. As she scanned the order tag I immediately received an email stating that the order was picked up so I inquired why I never received the email stating the order was ready for pickup. The employee stated it must have been in my spam folder although it wasn’t. I even showed her how I immediately got the email stating the order was picked up when she scanned the tag and there was no response as to why I never received the email stating it was ready for pickup. After leaving the store a few minutes later then I received the email stating the order was ready for pickup but at this point I already had the order and...
Read moreI had a visit to this location at the Memorial City Mall to price match an iPad. After being told by two Target stores over the phone that they would price match to Fry's Electronics (A local retailer with three locations in Houston) this store's member services and their apparent so called manager denied the fact and told me instead they have a select list of online sites that they price match to. Seriously think about it, what good is a price match online when you can't beat the business of your local retail competition in Houston. Everyone knows a Target store has a small electronics department but what does it stand against the big electronics stores in Houston like Micro-Center, BestBuy and Fry's Electronics who sweep the big share of customers looking to purchase consumer electronics. Now for those wondering whether Fry's Electronics had it in stock, yes they did, at two locations, Webster and North Houston which from my part of town are pretty far but the BestBuy at Galleria Houston did the deed and price matched to Fry's Electronics without any hesitation.
Oh and the two who served me didn't even didn't even try to offer me an online price from that small list that they showed me on their device. The funny part is when I asked them what the total would be, they told me the full MSRP after tax which seemed liked they weren't even interested in helping me save my money. LoL even the Apple store itself in Memorial City mall at least tried to pull up a reasonable price at Best Buy online to help me save my money.
All and all I'd have to say this was a very disappointing experience I had at a local Target. I have the target app on my phone but now I feel very reluctant to shop at a local Target for Electronics despite the offers I get through email, print media or...
