Trail overlooking the Conrad Sauer Detention Basin that is intersected by a road. A portion of it runs along the I-10 frontage road. There's not really a lot of shade except for a bit of the trail that runs under the road, so it's best to visit in the morning or in the evenings. I've tried visiting at other times of the day and the heat was insufferable. Read moreNot a bad place to go walking or running. Nice send paved and a good way to beautify what would have just been another retention pond/ drainage area. Great views of the memorial Hermann tower and nice landscaping all along the route. It’s very short, only about 1/2 a mile or so when you do a complete loop. So it’s ideal for short walk or runs. Kirby’s ice house, Mia’s table and Torchys tacos are all within minutes...

Found this little hidden gem right behind torchies and Mias cafe! Looks new and very clean and maintained! I came for a jog in the daytime and noticed light polls! I’m sure it’ll look great in the summer once the vegetation grows out. Great for walks/ jogging. Not busy at all which is great. Nice little water way and great view...
