I have visited the location at Memorial City Mall in Houston a few times and was always happy with the food and service. Until one day last September.. This was my worst overall restaurant experience in my life. It was my daughters birthday today and she had to run some errands in the Mall, so I decided we could spend some quality over a good lunch in your restaurant. Just a Mother / Daughter lunch, nothing fancy. We entered the restaurant at about 3.40 pm. It started with the hostess (which was super unmotivated) slouching on a bench instead of standing behind the desk. It took her about 5 minutes to find someone who could seat us outside on the patio. It wasn’t busy or packed or anything, just a handful of tables with guests inside and ONE table occupied outside. About 8 tables outside had dirty dishes and glasses on it. That was my first expression. We were seated at a table where the bench was very wobbly and needs to be fixed asap in my opinion. So we decided to chose another table ourselves. All other tables with no dirty dishes on it were not really cleaned, bread crumbs and stains on EVERY table, I really mean each and every table. No one even cared to clean them up until I mentioned it. I went inside to ask for a manager. I told him that I was very disappointed to not find a clean table. He immediately send one employee to clean all the tables. So far so good... We would have left already but then it was my daughter’s birthday and we had to wait until the Apple store fixes her phone anyway, so we stayed, even though we were already disappointed without having even ordered our drinks. We got our drinks which were great and we were about to check the menu for food. My menu was dirty, sticky and filthy. Our food was served by a nice waitress, she mentioned that she just started her shift. She was wearing a black apron FULL of stains and dirt. That thing has probably never seen the inside of a washing machine. Btw, we were not asked if we wanted to have more bread.
Our food was warm on the top and cold on the bottom. My Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and shrimps was like microwaved. The pasta was dry and sticky. I was able to lift up the entire “blob” of pasta by simply sticking my fork in it. This was NOT fresh. My daughter got the chicken Parmesan which was not good either. After my daughter went inside to get the server who was also functioning as the bartender, the server rolled her eyes when my daughter nicely asked her to come outside cause we wanted to avoid causing a scene in front of other customers. She went ahead and got another manager. His words were “sorry ‘bout that” after we refused to pay for the food. He gave us the check for the drinks and we left. We haven’t even left the property yet and they already started talking behind our back and making fun of us! This was the last time eating at the cheesecake factory! 2 managers were working that shift and none of them thought it was necessary to clean the dirty tables or treat us respectfully. I am the most unhappy camper you could think of.
I sent this feedback to Corporate Office, they never got back to me. That's seems to be an issue nowadays... big companies don't care about their customers at all,...
Read moreHadn’t been here in a while and will not be back voluntarily. The service is horrible. We went for an early dinner on a Friday around 5 were seated immediately upon walking in. Our waiter (would prefer not to list his name but know it) came by, introduced himself, took our drink orders, and asked if we want bread. We said no to the bread and ordered water, iced tea, and Diet Coke. He came back with the tea, water, Dr. Pepper, and bread. Swapped the soda for the correct one and took our order - My husband ordered the chicken madeira and I got the Skinnylicious Impossible burger with green salad. I asked for it to be cut in half and he looked at me confused and asked, “cut the salad in half?” 🫠🤦🏻♀️ Clarified for him I was talking about the burger and that was the last time we saw him at our table during our meal. We were seated where we could see into the kitchen and saw him having a blast talking to coworkers and talking on the phone. He didn’t even bring our meal out for us - someone else did. It would have been nice for him to come around because my burger was very dry and needed some kind of sauce, but I didn’t get the chance to request any. He also never came around to ask if we need refills of drinks or anything. We waited around for a long while after finishing our meal for him to show up and he didn’t. I had to flag down a waitress and ask for him. He came around with a smile like he’d never disappeared. Placed an order for the basque cheesecake and took it to go. Opened the cheesecake for a bite in the car and it had a hair in the whipped cream puff on top and fuzz along the side of the slice. Immediately took it back in and spoke to a manager, who seemed to not even really care about our bad experience. We paid $78 for very subpar food, minimal service from our waiter, and dessert that came with a side of hair.
We both got upset stomachs that evening that continued into the next morning, so I think something must’ve been off with something we ate because we we’ve both been hurting. We’re disappointed and disgusted, to be honest. Wish I’d snapped a photo of the cheesecake before giving it back. Avoid this place and go to a different location if you want some high quality Cheesecake Factory food, because you won’t get it here. Such a shame, because it’s a...
Read moreTried to call ahead and ask about the wait while driving to the restaurant, was put on hold indefinitely. I found it funny, so i kept the call going to see if they would come back on the line. No dice, on hold for the car ride and entire 45 min wait outside for our table. So i suggest not calling lol. Waiter took over 10 min to head over and take our drink order after being seated, another 10+ to receive the 2 Doctor peppers and 2 waters and to order an Appetizer, which then took over 20 min to hit the table. (So about 40 min of sitting before the app showed, after waiting 45 outside for the table). We ordered our main before the app hit the table but it still took another 20 for our main course to arrive. Not exaggerating. Over an hour before our main food arrived. Would not have cared about the time but the clencher was that i ordered the steak Diane/salmon which came as 5 very small squares of beef and half of a diced mushroom, about 2 oz of beef is being generous. It also came the smallest piece of salmon I've ever seen in my life, now i understand when women say "its so cute". 3 bites of salmon on 3 pieces of asparagus. But they did fill the plate up with mash potatoes. Happy days...Nearly $30 and I left hungry. Another let down was the pasta carbonara with chicken ordered for my son, it came with about 1-2 ounces of chicken, 4-6 small cubes... I asked the waitress about the quantity and she said she would ask but go figure, she never returned, just like the phone call lol.....We had a table of 4, drinks were always empty, waiter was nice but slow. I have never in my life posted a review, but after spending $160 on 1 app, 4 entries and 2 sodas(wife and I drank water), i feel i need to atleast try and warn people...Give yourself a 3 hour window, don't call or ask questions about the food, you will spend about 30 oneach person, apps are 20, soda was 4.50. Research the meal...
