My experience with The Goddard School has been awesome. My son loves going to school and his teachers are super sweet! I noticed significant improvement in his motor and social skills in a matter of weeks. I love being able to receive updates and photos of him throughout the day. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and I genuinely feel that my son is cared for just as we care for him at home. I would like to give a special thank you to Sequoia, Ms.Mary & Ms.Zee! Their charisma, cleanliness and competence made it easier for me to transition my son into childcare. I always said I did not want to, but the Goddard School has left me without regret. Amazing facility!
UPDATE: I want to preface this update by saying this information does not reflect on his teachers. They were sweet and amazing individuals. I appreciate Ms. Mary, Ms.Z & Ms.Geneva for caring for my son. He absolutely adored Ms.Mary. You all will be missed. My greatest complaint since Noahâs enrollment was their failure to disclose when my child came into contact with sick individuals in situations that were confirmed by staff. My child has a chronic respiratory condition and I shared this information with them following 2 consecutive hospitalizations in June. One of which resulted in my son being admitted to the ICU on a ventilator to support his breathing for Rhinovirus at only 7 months. They expressed immense concern and gave well wishes for my sonâs recovery. Yet, this past week my son was sent home with a fever of 100.4 and tested positive for COVID-19 that was contracted at Goddard. Both parents tested negative. I found out that his primary teacher tested positive for COVID-19 the week prior to him getting sick and when I addressed this with the administrators I was told they are not ârequiredâ to notify parents of students/staff having COVID-19. You knew the magnitude of my childâs condition and neglected to tell us simply, because youâre not ârequiredâ to? As a nurse, I understand that people get sick. You cannot control that, however, a common courtesy would have been greatly appreciated without identifying the individual who had the condition. Their blatant disregard for my special needs child was the final straw. He did not complete his last week of enrollment. The trust was lost for me as a parent. In addition he contracted hand, foot and mouth disease in July and fell down in August which resulted in a knot on his forehead. When asked what happened, I was told he was pulling up on a rocking chair. Why was a crawling child left to pull up on an unstable device? For $1825/month I would assume he would be looked after a bit closer and administration would go above their minimal requirements to ensure the safety of all students. I came into this arrangement so excited and optimistic, but the series of events that occurred since my initial review has left me...
Read moreStarted this daycare 1/2021 and we had a good experience in the Infant classroom. The First Steps classroom dealt with constant sickness (which is excepted) but overall ok. When our child was moved up to the Toddler classroom in August 2022 that is when we experienced a decline in care. We were dealing with constant diaper rashes that were so bad sitting down or even a bath was painful for our little one. Little by little we saw changes in our child and a lack of professional from the staff responsible for caring for our child. The Owner nor the Education Director never once stepped in or bothered to speak with me about our issues. Instead we were ignored like nothing was wrong. These were just a few issues. Our son is no longer attending and Corporate has been contacted to address other issues we encountered with this franchise. As for the 5 star reviews I would take them with a grain of salt. There is a financial incentive to leave a good review for parents. The latest solicitation was 11/2022. All the 5 star reviews were made 4 months ago.
If you are parents considering this daycare donât be fooled by the reviews and location. Unfortunately because this is a new facility there isnât enough data from the Texas Human Health Services on how this facility is doing for anyone to make a well informed decision about sending their child here.
Update Corporate gave me the usual we will reach out to the owner to address this. The follow up comment is a total joke and crafted in a way to portray there is nothing wrong on their part. Just confirms that in the owners eyes we were the issue here and they did nothing wrong. Deflect but never own up to the mishandling of...
Read moreWe absolutely love this school! We transferred our daughter from another daycare because I felt she needed a better curriculum and higher safety standards during this pandemic. I canât express how amazing Jessica and Kayla are at taking care of their school! Even before the pandemic my daughter got sick during the first week when she started at the other school. Knock on wood she has yet to get sick at The Goddard school! Their sanitation standards go above and beyond and I know that my baby is safe. Not only do they take care of their school but her teacher Alejandra is amazing with my baby. I was in shock that during her first week, she was already able to sign milk to me!! I was like OMG! I mean she is learning so much. She has learned to say multiple words like purple, hi, blu(e), bye! She knows how to tell us no by shaking her head. We are just soooo impressed and love it here!!! Btw my baby has only been there a month and is almost 11 months old. We cannot express how much she has learned and is just flourishing with knowledge! They truly take care of their kids as if they...
