MAGNIFICENT WORK BY ADRIAN

I have owned a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible since September 1984. For the past few years the top would not go down, the electric windows were slow and would get stuck, the drivers seat would no longer adjust electrically and was stuck too far up, the trunk would only partially close. I was tossed about from one auto repair shop, body shop, upholstery shop to another. No one worked convertible tops. Electric window work was not taken in. I was about to leave the car with an upholstery shop that knew of a convertible top man who could be available on a moonlight basis. The windows would have to be assessed latter at a body shop. It looked like uncertainty and delay.

I was told to call Upholstery by Coleman. They told me that I needed to talk to Adrian and we were on the phone right away. He heard all of the afflictions of my car and told me in great detail what the remedies should be and that he had handled plenty of jobs similar to mine. I drove the car to Coleman Wednesday March 9. Adrian came out and reviewed the car fully. He believed that he could solve all problems. I was quoted a reasonable price. His nephew AJ drove me home. 9 miles.

Adrian called Friday March 11 that AJ could pick me up that afternoon to pick up the car with the job completed. I was there near closing time and the completion of the job carried shortly thereafter. Adrian told me that it's alright to watch him work. He showed me a new motor that was installed inside the driver side door along with a new silver plate related to windows improvement. They now go up and down rapidly. The top goes down and up with ease. He lifted up the driver seat and drilled below. He adjusted it backward and got the back of the seat in a firm position. I was nearby to sit in the seat a few times to get it right. The trunk closes properly. Adrian worked confidently and swiftly. He has offered to get the digital gas gage working again, fix the hood so that a rod does not have to hold it up, and replace the top.

First, I went to this place because they had a reputation for doing good work on older cars. I needed the headliner replaced on my 2008 VW and for a reasonable price they said they could do it in 1 day.

Took 1 day to put the head liner in. Here is where the problems began. When replacing my headliner they failed to properly connect my dome light. This means they had to remove the whole headliner to correct the issue. Said I could bring it back in the next week and leave it for another day. Left the car, NO REPAIR. said I had to come back. Came and dropped the car of a week later for 2 day NO REPAIR. Claimed they had been too busy. Over 4 weeks I wasted 5 days screwing around with this. Unacceptable.

Finally, after a third set of 2 days my light has been repaired. HOWEVER MY CAR RECEIVED AN UNACCEPTABLE LEVER OF INTERIOR DAMAGE DURING THIS PROCESS. When I picked the car up it had a nick in the leather armrest, my dome light has signs of damage to the plastic, and they left several rusty razor blades and tools in my car.

All in all, I will not be taking in any car or recommending this place to anyone. The guys running it seem like they are great but the weekly cash help they...

I would highly recommend Coleman Upholstery. I brought my 1981 Camaro Z28 to Coleman for upholstery work on two front seats. While parked inside this shop somehow there was a bizarre incident where my car was damaged. The employees notified the owner Larry and he contacted me advising he was taking full responsibility and will be handling all damage repairs at no cost to me. The car repair was done in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. The two uphostered front seats turned out phenomenal. After paying my bill and returning home with my car, I noticed something was overlooked on my seat repair and some car repair damage could have been done better. I contacted Larry and expressed my concerns and issues. Larry advised me to return the car and they will make all the necessary seating corrections. I returned to Coleman Upholstery and all issues were addressed and I was one hundred percent satisfied. Coleman Upholstery even gave me cash back towards the other car repair damage in good faith. Coleman Upholstery get a grade A and 5 stars from me. I admire good quality service and craftsmenship, good management and good business savvy. Way to go...
