I've been shopping at HEB for many years and I've been waiting for this location to open for awhile (as I always have to drive to Montrose store to shop). Whilst the store is nice as usual, parking is horrible AF. The parking garage ramp leading to the upper level is narrow and without blind spot turn mirrors. You can't simultaneously turn with other cars since most cars do a narrow turn. You have to wait for the other cars to turn before you make your turn to the lower level (or vice versa lest you hit other cars). What this means to your shopping experience is a congested parking traffic and longer wait. You're better off walking or taking Uber to this place. Their "Meal Simple" (Chef-inspired meals in minutes) are WAY TOO SALTY. If you look at the nutrition facts label: the pub style seafood platter (3 pcs shrimp, 3 pcs hush puppies, 2 pcs cod) contains 1,760 mg of salt (that's 70% of DV amt). The chicken with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese contains 1,210 mg of salt (that's 50% of DV amt). They have more salt in it than the frozen tv dinners you'll find in the freezer section. That's just not healthy! Which salty chef inspired that meal? The salmon they sell packed in styro foam and saran wrap isn't fresh. When you get it home and unpack it, it stank to high heaven, it smelled like yesterday's fish. No wonder they pack it in saran wrap so you cannot smell how bad it is. Lesson learned: never buy a fish wrapped in saran wrap. I think I'll shop at my usual HEB instead even though this is closer to my house. This place is just horrible.

Hello, I’d like to file a complaint about my experience at H-E-B store #737 (2300 N Shepherd Dr., Houston, TX). The cashier, Elizabeth M, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She made a mistake with my order, and when I calmly pointed it out, she responded with attitude and started arguing with me instead of correcting the issue. It was completely disrespectful and made me feel very uncomfortable. Thankfully, a kind gentleman who worked there stepped in to help. He apologized on her behalf and handled the situation respectfully, which I truly appreciated. I live close by and usually enjoy shopping at this location, but after this experience, I honestly have to think twice about returning. Customers should never be treated like that. Please take this seriously.

Every time I come to this HEB they’re lacking. Like every single time. I literally have to pray before I walk in here. It’s 1:30pm and they don’t have any of the chicken out that usually all the other HEB’s have. I come here to get a cheap nourishing lunch and once again THEY DONT HAVE ANYTHING. Then one of the deli workers says the chicken won’t be ready until an hour to an hour and a half later… like be for real. This is lunch hour and you’re not prepared. I’m pretty sure their only job is to cook the chicken. So I’m super confused on what’s taking so long. If you know there’s a lunch crowd then you should already have some ready if you’re going to run out by 12:30 or whatever. There is literally no excuse. Especially when it’s ALWAYS like this.

if I can give this store 0 stars I would ! every month I place big home delivery orders with this store 1000 dollar or close to it being I get a lot of foodstamps so home delivery is more convenient for me being I have three little kids and pregnant with another ! every time I place my monthly orders of I’m not missing half my items I’m always missing some of my food items yesterday on 5/29/24 I placed a 900$ grocery order for delivery between 4:30-5:30 as time got closer they sent me tracking information from there partner favor to track my order ! It reached 0 mins as if the driver was delivering my food I waited a hour still no food at the door by then I sent a text asking was the driver lost where was he with my food he text back my order was delivered no food at my door the driver had done stole my whole 900$ grocery order !!!!!!! I became upset cuss imagine haveing little kids waiting on food that never shows up so the gentle was veery helpful and and told me they will reshop my order and have it delivered in the morning I got my order in the morning and was still missing about 5 items I called about those items a lady name Chrissy from this store answers the phone and I told her my issue and she immediately start judging me as if I’m the reason their driver stole my whole 900$ order and she did not want to replace my 5 items she tells me they have to review cameras as protocol because they had to replace my whole 900$ order that there driver stole !!! As if she can go review the camera and tell if I’m missing items off a camera pathetic !!!!! this store is pathetic they have lost a customer in a whole they have these janky drivers they have partner with favor and these people are stealing people food and the store makes it seem as if we the customers are losing or take us through loop wholes just to get our items that they drivers have STOLE ! I’m done with this store and groceries orders they have crooked people working for they delivery service and they don’t care about they customers I will be reporting them to health and human services don’t make groceries orders with them unless u want your food stolen or even don’t get your order at all or if u want the run rounds with replacing...

Jose from the delivery department was rude, unprofessional and condescending. When I asked to speak with a manager he refused to transfer me. I was not rude back nor did I yell and he still argued with me about transferring me. He wanted me to name who I wanted to speak with as if I knew the manager in charge. I had to call back three different times. Until I was able to speak with Jay who is over the grocery department. He then transferred me to the manager in charge (MIT) Alley who did not answer. Although I did ask not be transferred again I accepted because Jay was actually respectful and I didn’t want to come off difficult. But in the future a customer who has not been able to reach a specific person or department should not have to be transferred. You should actually make sure the person requested is available first. The customer service provided was subpar and I don’t appreciate it. I shop frequently with HEB because of the local products and quality. I wouldn’t press the issue as much had I been able to get transferred initially. Jose was more into being condescending vs helping me and I just wanted to get help. Who knew something so small would grow to become this big???

Update: I called back for the fourth attempt and a lady answered unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she put me on hold to attempt to find Alley who was not available or able to be found. Which I understand. She then attempted to reach Dylan another MIT I was on hold 5mins and the phone hung up. It’s my daughter’s first birthday and I’m trying not to allow this to ruin my day… thanks so much HEB for your lack of customer service!

Called customer relations and spoke with Sheryl regarding the series of events and was able to send a request to corporate. Regarding the service received/not received. Hopefully this will help someone in the future not have to go...

Step into H-E-B on Shepard and 24th Street in the Greater Heights of Houston, and you'll find a grocery shopping experience that's both convenient and entertaining. With a covered park on the ground level and a high chance of snagging a spot on the second level, parking becomes a breeze.

The produce section is always brimming with a delightful assortment of food, although keep an eye out in the upfront section, as sales items don't always live up to their sale prices—sometimes they're just a tempting showcase for high-demand produce.

If you have a soft spot for orchids, the flower section will make your heart bloom. And when it comes to quick and easy meals, H-E-B's ready-to-go Simple Meals are as approachable as they come, complete with handy portion control.

From affordable cuts to mouthwatering dry-aged and wagyu options, the meat selection caters to all tastes and budgets. And while the cheese selection is decent, the elusive aged Gouda with crystals occasionally plays hide-and-seek on the shelves.

Wine enthusiasts will find themselves in good hands with H-E-B's more-than-adequate selection, accompanied by the wisdom of a knowledgeable wine sommelier. Plus, after finally putting their feud with Tilamook ice cream behind them, the store now carries a decent selection of this beloved treat.

For furry friends, H-E-B's own brand of dog treats has become quite the sensation. My canine companion swears by their Chicken Stix treat, and I can't blame him.

Now, I must confess, they recently rearranged the chip aisle, and I still can't help but feel a twinge of annoyance months later. But hey, change is the spice of life, right?

Overall, H-E-B on Shepard and 24th Street is a solid local grocery store, perfect for satisfying your weekly basics and providing a touch of entertainment...
