It reached 0 mins as if the driver was delivering my food I waited a hour still no food at the door by then I sent a text asking was the driver lost where was he with my food he text back my order was delivered no food at my door the driver had done stole my whole 900$ grocery order !!!!!!! I became upset cuss imagine haveing little kids waiting on food that never shows up so the gentle was veery helpful and and told me they will reshop my order and have it delivered in the morning I got my order in the morning and was still missing about 5 items I called about those items a lady name Chrissy from this store answers the phone and I told her my issue and she immediately start judging me as if I’m the reason their driver stole my whole 900$ order and she did not want to replace my 5 items she tells me they have to review cameras as protocol because they had to replace my whole 900$ order that there driver stole !!! As if she can go review the camera and tell if I’m missing items off a camera pathetic !!!!! this store is pathetic they have lost a customer in a whole they have these janky drivers they have partner with favor and these people are stealing people food and the store makes it seem as if we the customers are losing or take us through loop wholes just to get our items that they drivers have STOLE ! I’m done with this store and groceries orders they have crooked people working for they delivery service and they don’t care about they customers I will be reporting them to health and human services don’t make groceries orders with them unless u want your food stolen or even don’t get your order at all or if u want the run rounds with replacing...
Read moreJose from the delivery department was rude, unprofessional and condescending. When I asked to speak with a manager he refused to transfer me. I was not rude back nor did I yell and he still argued with me about transferring me. He wanted me to name who I wanted to speak with as if I knew the manager in charge. I had to call back three different times. Until I was able to speak with Jay who is over the grocery department. He then transferred me to the manager in charge (MIT) Alley who did not answer. Although I did ask not be transferred again I accepted because Jay was actually respectful and I didn’t want to come off difficult. But in the future a customer who has not been able to reach a specific person or department should not have to be transferred. You should actually make sure the person requested is available first. The customer service provided was subpar and I don’t appreciate it. I shop frequently with HEB because of the local products and quality. I wouldn’t press the issue as much had I been able to get transferred initially. Jose was more into being condescending vs helping me and I just wanted to get help. Who knew something so small would grow to become this big???
Update: I called back for the fourth attempt and a lady answered unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she put me on hold to attempt to find Alley who was not available or able to be found. Which I understand. She then attempted to reach Dylan another MIT I was on hold 5mins and the phone hung up. It’s my daughter’s first birthday and I’m trying not to allow this to ruin my day… thanks so much HEB for your lack of customer service!
Called customer relations and spoke with Sheryl regarding the series of events and was able to send a request to corporate. Regarding the service received/not received. Hopefully this will help someone in the future not have to go...
Read moreStep into H-E-B on Shepard and 24th Street in the Greater Heights of Houston, and you'll find a grocery shopping experience that's both convenient and entertaining. With a covered park on the ground level and a high chance of snagging a spot on the second level, parking becomes a breeze.
The produce section is always brimming with a delightful assortment of food, although keep an eye out in the upfront section, as sales items don't always live up to their sale prices—sometimes they're just a tempting showcase for high-demand produce.
If you have a soft spot for orchids, the flower section will make your heart bloom. And when it comes to quick and easy meals, H-E-B's ready-to-go Simple Meals are as approachable as they come, complete with handy portion control.
From affordable cuts to mouthwatering dry-aged and wagyu options, the meat selection caters to all tastes and budgets. And while the cheese selection is decent, the elusive aged Gouda with crystals occasionally plays hide-and-seek on the shelves.
Wine enthusiasts will find themselves in good hands with H-E-B's more-than-adequate selection, accompanied by the wisdom of a knowledgeable wine sommelier. Plus, after finally putting their feud with Tilamook ice cream behind them, the store now carries a decent selection of this beloved treat.
For furry friends, H-E-B's own brand of dog treats has become quite the sensation. My canine companion swears by their Chicken Stix treat, and I can't blame him.
Now, I must confess, they recently rearranged the chip aisle, and I still can't help but feel a twinge of annoyance months later. But hey, change is the spice of life, right?
Overall, H-E-B on Shepard and 24th Street is a solid local grocery store, perfect for satisfying your weekly basics and providing a touch of entertainment...
