For those of us who were around back when Goodwill used to sell clothing items for a dollar sometimes less and it was an actual value. This is like taking a step back in time to win thrift store actually meant thrift. These days you go into a donation-based resale shop and sometimes you’re paying more than the item cost originally brand new. Nothing seems to be affordable anymore. I found value Village through an online ad advertising shirts for $.99 one day. Of course I clicked on the click bait and went down the rabbit hole that is value Village. I read reviews checked out franchise information, even when is far as to watching YouTube videos from other shoppers head shop there. It’s not anywhere close to my house so before I wouldn’t trust all the way to the other side of town in my car that likes to break down on me for no good reason, I wanted to be sure at this place with worth my time. I am happy to report it very much was. They had so many great flash sales going on in there and the quality of the items was way higher than I expected it to be. I would like to know where their income goes to. Is it all just a corporate thing or do they donate to local charities? If anyone knows the answer this please let me know. I like shopping places where my money is going to better the community and the...
Read moreToday was my first time at value village! I was referred by a friend (who’s been a regular) I came in today with the intentions of also becoming a regular since she’s told me so many good things about the store! Well I can say I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back! Totally disappointed in the customer service! The women who checked me out had such a nasty attitude! Her face was sour; seemed like she had better things to do. She was a really short African A. lady with black & white hair (not sure what her name was but she was on register 2 on 5/11/23) The amount of sarcasm & sassiness she displayed was so disrespectful! In that moment I wanted to grab my purse & walk out of there!! When I mentioned this to my friend, she was so surprised! She said she comes often in the evening & has never had these issues. I hope Value Village fixes this ASAP! As a business owner myself, I know how much customer service can MAKE OR BREAK a business. I hope in the future no other human being has to experience such disgusting behavior!! On the up side; I loved the organization of the store! Everything was coordinated by color! Prices were reasonable & the quality of the items were excellent! I also like that there was a variety of items as well as prices! If I do decide to come again, I will absolutely not be checked...
Read moreI visited the store today for the very first time, the store front is cleaned and somewhat organized. I visited the store with my elderly parents who are 82+ and needed to use the restroom and from 11:15 to 11:30 am two female workers who were on their cellphones stayed in the stall’s for over 15 mins and when I asked if they were going to be there much more longer since i can see them standing by the door nearly 15 mins they opened the door with an attitude!!! I proceeded to assist my mother and then realized there was no toilet paper, and the two ladies who were standing by the sink talking i asked them for toilet paper they said sorry there’s no toilet paper & that each employee have to bring their own toilet paper from home. I was debating with my rating on this review but after I saw some of the previous reviews I see this has been an issue for a very long time. Please correct this at your store and speak with your employees with their attitude towards customers this two ladies were young! The older ladies working in the floor are very friendly and humble even if their English is not so great but they have a smile and treat you well. I placed my receipt here so you can look at your time clock and see this two young ladies that clocked in around that...
