This isn't really a food store. It's a vitamin shop. If you're looking for a specialty grocery item, this place is not your solution. The 'food' that it does sell is mostly of the highly processed variety. They do have a variety of vitamin and supplement products that you won't find at any other store in the northern Dayton metropolitan area. However, the store space is very poorly temperature controlled in the summer resulting in product being exposed to long-term temperatures that are higher than most manufacturers would recommend for storage. This factor alone can impact product effectiveness. The owner is knowledgeable but the staff seems 'hit and miss.' They are all very friendly. When calling to check on product availability, I was rushed on the phone and almost hung up on. This was on a Saturday. I do not know if this was a staff member or manager. They were quite rude. If they are so busy that they can't take time and help people on the phone, then they need to hire more help, or don't answer the phone at all. I would never act that way towards any customer of mine. This is a good way to lose business to another store. The last time I went into the store, the knowledge on products I was looking for was very poor. This visit was on a Saturday also. This is a great place to go for all of your natural products...it's a little pricey, but isn't all of that stuff? The staff has always been very knowledgeable about the products. The only thing I knock a star off for is because they have been known to run a diffuser in the store, which can be a health hazard to folks that might be allergic or sensitive, especially since you don't know what is being diffused before...
