SERIOUSLY – BUYER BEWARE! A week before Thanksgiving, I called Verizon customer service (location Texas) and talked to them about how and where I can buy an Iphone 12 Pro. I wanted to pay for this phone in full without any payment plan. He told me a full cost would be $999.00 would be payable at the store when I picked up the phone, he asked for $40 for an activation fee (we already had a plan with Verizon, but need to activate this new phone) and he instructed me to contact and visit IMWireless in Hudson NH (a fully authorized Verizon dealer), as they were the only one in reasonable driving distance to have Iphone 12Pro available.
The next day I arrived at the Hudson store, and they had the phone per my agreement with Verizon. The IMWireless person was nice and seemed to know what she was doing, and after I repeated the fact that we were paying this phone in full, for $999 with no financing agreement, she finished activating the phone. She next told me that the cost of the phone was $1010, contrary to what the Verizon guy stated, and contrary to what Apple and all other places were charging. I didn't concern myself with $11, figured the cost of doing business with this scam company. After arriving home, I saw that I only pay $909, the balance had to be paid to Verizon over 24 months, this was like financing $101 for 2 years. BTW, the manager (Zac) told me that this was the typical cost of the 12 Pro, that they would never over charge a customer, just more BS.
I call Verizon and was told that they did not see any record of me paying a cent on this phone, so I was now suppose to pay full price over 2 years to them, even after I had paid IMWireless $909. As it turned out, Verizon and IMWireless have systems that are not compatible. I was told by Tamara Lowe of Verizon, the paperwork I had from IMWireless in NH was useless and did not prove a thing to Verizon, so at this point, I owed/paid $2009 for one Iphone 12Pro.
Going back and forth to Verizon and IMWireless, for three weeks, was useless, neither company could give a damn about their customers, nor did either want to make this right. I finally told the store manager I was going to show up, and get a refund, with no further screwing around. Two days later I showed up (60 miles round trip) and the manager was indeed ready to provide me with a complete refund, so that I would only owe Verizon the $999, financed over 24 months. I did find out from Verizon, one can pay off the entire financed amount, after one month, if I so wished. I have done just that.
In my humble opinion this was a case that IMWireless and Verizon have no clue what the other hand is doing. Both company were willing and able to charge me for the same phone (same serial number), this is an unacceptable form of business. While IMWireless finally made this more or less right, it took 3 plus weeks to get this done, and my money was tired up. If Apple had stock, that is where I would have gone. I strongly suggest if you use the IMWireless chain of stores, you be 100% sure of what is happening, otherwise you might end up paying double for your phone.
Lastly, the store manager at IMWireless stated he would be happy to provide me with an accessory from his store (at his own personal expense) to compensate me for my trouble. So, after getting my refund, I asked him about getting a charger, and he quickly said, yes sure, $40. I said forgot it and...
Read moreLet me start off by saying if I could rate 0 stars I would! The owner Sam is very immature, selfish, and cold hearted! He harassed an employee so bad she was crying for days and instead of trying to resolve he fired her! This was a girl that did everything to please him even though she felt threatened and uncomfortable around him! Can you say harassment?! Maybe even wrongful termination? This is a dear friend of mine and he lost quite a few customers already so I'm trying to get word out so everyone else realizes what a low life conniving person he is! I'd say,... As a business owner ...'PFFTTTT, ha!" Don't waste your time or money! They only treat people as another $ in their pocket. I'd rather be treated as a friend anywhere else! I don't know if he has this negative attitude because he has the lowest sales around or what. That's what other Verizon stores have guessed. I will definitely say good luck in life with that type of outlook! I hope you get a taste of karma soon. Me, my friends and family as well as my business will be going...
Read moreAbsolutely buyer beware of this store. Went in March when my phone died during the pandemic and my regular Verizon store wasn't open. Initial experience was good getting the phone.. but then when I called a week later because I was charged $160 more than Verizon charges ( it says on their website they match prices) Asked 3 times to have general manager call me.. instead he or she kept having an employee call me back and refused to call me. After much aggravation they refunded me part of the cost but charged me a 40 upgrade fee which I wasn't originally charged. Oh and then the kicker is upon looking at my paperwork online for my new phone..my signature was forged on the contract! I was NEVER asked to sign anything in store!! I will be reporting to BBB and Verizon headquarters as well. The forged signature doesn't sit well with me and I have screenshots of everything. Go to an actual Verizon store if you need a phone..DO NOT be scammed...
