Much better than the Houston Farmers Market (on Airline) . Way better. Small, and it always will be small because it's hemmed in by the size of the church parking lot on which it is sited, but busy. Get there early. Similar to Urban Harvest Farmers Market, and some of the vendors overlap. The road repaving was completed three years ago, so it's easy to get to the parking areas on both sides of the church (the vendors all set up in the rear of the parking lot). Note that as of July 2025 Fredericksburg Peaches are not yet back (no surprise there!). There used to be at least three vegetable vendors that sold produce they grew themselves, and that was picked on Friday (the day before). But it's been a long while since I've seen more than one serious (large) one. There is one other regular, albeit small, produce vendor, but they do sometimes have some good looking fresh veggies, particularly those that the one large vendor rarely offers. Worth a drive there. Several small vendors selling good pastries, bread, breakfast tacos, jam, jelly, fresh drinks like lemonade. Visit their website for a complete list of regular vendors. Excellent knife sharpening service vendor, too (shop while he...
Read moreThis market is run with great love and care by Tim Carlson and his wife Leigh Ann.
You won't find eight skin care vendors at this market. You won't find five jam/jelly vendors at this market. You won't find a lot of product redundancy here.
Why?
Because Tim and Leigh Ann are first and foremost committed to providing a beautiful community organization that fosters the needs of the customers and the vendors.
They genuinely care and that's just not the kind of thing you find at markets around Houston.
So while you will find 60+ great vendors selling fresh, healthy meats and super high grade vegetables and produce, the finest quality goat cheese, unique jams, and nut butters, amazing one of a kind artwork, and fresh farm raised eggs and many other natural and harvested products like beautiful peaches, in season?
You won't find every nickel and dime trinket flea market seller, and you won't find vendors that don't care if they ever see you again.
There is no other market in Houston as well run and as unique as Memorial Villages Farmers Market.
Tim and Leigh Ann and their wonderful family of 10+ kids?

Read moreI have been visiting this market for years. My work schedule prevents me, often, but I have to say there are certain stalls I hit EVERY time I go. Scotty's fermented products are SO good for your health. I buy the ginger beer by the half-dozen and the krauts are my go-to.
The Rise & Shine Farm products are so delicious, their poultry and eggs are purely organic.
Just Pure Flavors makes pure jams, jellies and curds. Very smart maker! He's not kidding- the flavors are crazy good.
Baked by Drake, the delicious cookies, precious decoration kits and the really creative icings. Special orders available!
I love the popsicle freezer. The fresh juice guy. The candle lady! The sourdough bread. GO! HAVE FUN, bring home foods from the goat cheese farm and the fresh produce stalls!! (Bring your little ones and your dogs, your friends and...
