My friend works there, it seemed great at first, however over the course of a few months the time constraints and type of work that they had given my friend is very stressful on their body, not only that they require that my friend comes in at 6:00 in the morning and Trail blazer isn't around till 7am. My friend has disabilities so they can't drive at the moment, my friend is so physically disabled and is prone to illness, has a bad back, fibromyalgia and they're also is mentally disabled.
There has been numerous times that I've had to come and get my friend from work early due to an injury at the job, and there has been multiple times that I have actually had to assist my friend with their work at this job and I'm not even employed there. I feel that my friend is not properly being accommodated when it comes to my friend's work restrictions and disabilities, my friend has been punished for being sick with COVID and being physically disabled by cutting their hours and then tell my friend they have to prove themself to earn the hours back - my friend is mentally affected by this and pushes themselves to the point of injury during work, or even before work.
Today my friend was walking to work and their back went out, and now I am helping them with their job and I don't even work there THEY'RE GETTING FREE LABOR!
This is ridiculous: I was very persistent and even spoke with Aric who is the primary manager here at the store and even had the opportunity of meeting the regional manager and I cannot quite fathom as to why they would not want to hire me, I specifically told Aric during an interview that I would be willing to fill in shifts particularly for my friend who has issues with their health - I would cover my friends shifts if they couldn't make it due to medical complications so that way they could at least still keep their hours and by covering their shifts as a team we could still provide consistent workflow for the store so it doesn't fall behind schedule.
Instead they refused to hire me (someone who has a hard work ethic) and hired someone else internally whom does not even bother to exercise teamwork, they don't ever cover my friends shifts and there are no other employees that bother to cover said shifts if needed - BUT WHEN SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS THEIR SHIFT COVERED, MY FRIEND IS ALWAYS OFFERING TO COVER THEM! WHY IS IT THAT MY FRIEND WORKS THEIR ASS OFF (Sometimes to the point of injury) AND HAS THE COWORKERS BACKS AND NO ONE BOTHERED TO LIFT A FINGER TO HELP MY FRIEND?!
The staff is impossible to work with, there is no teamwork - they only think of themselves and don't work together as a team to insure the efficiency and safety of this store, management is none existent from 6:00 to 8AM.
They refuse to take doctor's notes so if my friend had a injury or COVID-19 they would still be pressured to come into work or risk getting their hours cut - If the doctor tells Cashwise it's not a good idea Cash wise cuts their hours for it?! What is HR and the management smoking?! Working with food hands on havig COVID is insane - The management is asking coworkers to put their customers and Coworkers health and safety in Jeopardy!
At this time they have 'Soft Fired' my friend and give them one day a month for work deeming my friend 'Unreliable'. I strongly believe that Cash Wise is violating my friend's work related legal rights!
My Friend deserves better than this, Aric - Enough is enough. You told me that Walmart had issues and you got tired of the way Walmart was causing problems in your line of work as a manager so you quit and came to cashwise, but you're causing issues for a individual that can't easily advocate...
Read moreInconsistent service from the cashiers.
Having come here once a week for over a year, we rarely ever find the same cashier working two weeks in a row.
9 out of 10 times the cashier we get has not been trained in basic functions of the Point of Sale system. My partner and I split the grocery bill at the register and the average cashier is unable to split the charge between 2 cards.
The typical experience is us asking to split between two cards, telling the cashier how much we want to put on each one, they acknowledge the request as if it is no issue, but they then run the first card for the full total.
It may seem a minor inconvenience, which you are not wrong in the grand scheme of things. It requires us to make a bank transfer that takes a few days, tying up our money for no reason.
But the problem is that the cashier has one job, to know how to run the register.
I humbly request that management take time to train the cashiers on staff and to maybe even ensure the longer tenured ones stay up front. I generally see the cashiers name tags noting that they have been there for just...
Read moreGood place to shop! Friendly atmosphere. When sales are on in the meat department, the meat police may have you take what he thinks is a fair amount in his opinion! What a joke! Hutchinson is the worst in the meat department management! They seem to do what and when ever they want! Another comment from the meat department to a consumer was if they didn't like the way they run things to shop somewhere else! You just have to buy the correct amount of food product so you do not have to put it back on the food shelf or freezer where product was picked up! By the way I made it my mission to shop/tour other Cashwise stores to confirm my curiosity, and Hutchinson was the only one where such experiences have happened! (2 days of sale left) Seemed like an authority issue). Very poor customer service! Changing sales signs at will when nothing is stated in sale paper the number of limited items or Nothing was stated a limit on this or that item in store sign as well...
