Shout out to old 'Miss Scrooge' for ruining my 2024 Xmas Eve & Christmas Day!! Aldi's normally closes at 8 on weekdays, So I thought "I'll just show up at 4 pm", I just needed eggs. I get there to find out they closed at 4PM!? Just my dumb luck! I walked in and kindly begged the check-out lady if I could just get eggs (She was still checking out customers!) only and she yelled at me telling me no and I said 'Ma'am please it's Christmas Eve, she yelled again 'no' kicking me out with a threatening tonality, walked out the door throwing my hand in the air yelling 'Merry Christmas!' Conclusion: The management and functionality of this store is absolute trash: Prices are great but not their attitude towards guests, they don't communicate properly with the community about their hours on google maps, they only put a piece of paper on their door (Great for those who go there every day) they don't have a 'Local' phone number to call their store to inquire their hours, so it's not like I could find out their closing time on Xmas Eve ahead of time! So those who are not aware of the affected holiday hours are screwed (Just like me), and after I left the building, 3 other people showed up only to be met with the same fate and trust me they were also angry and had something to say about it! Had to show up to my family's house without devil'd eggs and won't have eggs for 2 days at home as I only had a aldis gift card and no...
Read moreAldi is a main part of our life, we purchase 80-90% of our food here. The the overall subtotal we spend is about 1/2 the cost of the big box grocers, and have most everything you’d need. Online ordering is also AWESOME! No delivery fees for your first three orders. My wife had ordered all our usual items, sent in the order, app notified her with updates when delivery person was shopping for items, leaving the store and when the delivery was about to be made 1 minute from our doorstep. This gives you plenty of time to welcome the delivery person and accept your items. ...
Read moreOpen till 8pm, such liars they close 2 to 5 minutes early!? You wouldn't believe how many times I have gotten out of work in Glencoe and try and get back to hutch sometimes speeding to get to Aldi's and get Toilet paper or one other item only to be shut out. They're even closing 5 minutes before close on some days. If you say you close at 8pm, then you let people in until 8pm plain and simple, if y'all don't wanna work past 8pm then cut your open hours to 7:45pm or post a notice that says you stop letting people in...
