My wife shops here all the time and uses self checkout to avoid tipping a harrassing filipino volunteer person who bags your groceries in the regular checkout. And if you dont tip they revert to speaking filipino to talk bad about you (yes i recorded them and played it back for my filipino friend). On 2 occasions my wife and visiting mom was rudely met by a volunteer bagger. I wont say her name (Trinity) but this bagger demanded to see my wife and moms ID and proceeded to tell my wife that she cannot pay for her groceries with 2 debit cards because it was against store policy. My wife immediatley called over the store manager and even the store manager had the tell the rude bagger that there was no such policy. Main point being that If you are a volunteer-unpaid- begging-for- tips-and then complain that you dont get a tip in a foreign language then you really have no right at all treating any customer especially my wife in the rude manner that was done and you really dont deserve a tip to begin with. I have been to commissaries all over the world and it is unacceptable that this is litterally the worst place for volunteer baggers. I have even seen fellow servicemembers avoid regular checkout lanes with carts overflowing with groceries to go to self-checkout just to avoid the volunteer baggers. Its...

My parents have shopped here for decades and now that Im care giver to my elderly dad, we come to the Commissary at least once a week. Senior citizens get in 1 hr. Earlier.than the set store opening time. Everyone is always very helpful ( they all know my dad) The store is quiet. Not crowded at all, even on the weekends. The set up is very nice & clean, excellent produce. Easy to find what you’re looking for, even the butchers will cut your meat if you cant find what you’re looking for 👍 Nice fresh deli and many imported products. Sadly they did away with the fresh bakery but I still find more options here than at the big chain stores. Plus the prices are much better than on the outside & best of all… No TAX! Usually have a great experience at this store but this last time we went the cashier handled our items too rough. After he scanned our items he was throwing them to side including things like my fruits and vegetables, bread and unfortunately my carton of eggs as well. I didn’t realize at the time but when he threw my eggs one of them cracked at the bottom and spilled a bit into the other eggs making them stick to the carton, when we tried to take those eggs out later they cracked because they were stuck to the carton. He also then started scanning the next people’s items while I was still loading mine up and throwing their items in with mine, I was being as fast as I could but he was very inconsiderate and I’m not pleased at all with how he handled...
