Birrieria la Loteria — Restaurant in Imperial Beach

I was skeptical about eating here. I love new places but this place had so few reviews.

Off the bat it was a challenge to find as the sign says : Mariscos Shop and much smaller it says Birreria La Loteria.

Right out of the gates, BLL hit it out of the park. We ordered all of the following and split amongst our tribe: grilled cheese, quesataco, Cali burrito, vampiro, Birria Ramen and pescado taco.

The grilled cheese was good to me but my son loved it. He said it was a 10/10.

My wife just LOVED the burrito. Definitely a home run there.

My absolute favorite was the pescado. They gave me a crème sauce and habanero sauce to put on that was lotta this world 10/10.

The ramen was okay but not my thing.

The owner here was great. 19 year old Caesar started this place with his dad when he was 14. Really cool to meet young entrepreneurs that have a passion for what they’re doing.

If you’re in IB I recommend giving them a Shot!

This place is a must visit!! It's in a quiet shopping center right next to the party store. I knew it had to be good because anytime I see a people coming in and out frequently, it's always a good sign.

The lady at the front counter was a pleasure to speak with and was very helpful with assisting with selections to choose from for my family of 4. Everyone had a smile and was very welcoming and helpful. I appreciate the customer service, it truly goes a long way!

We ordered the crispy taco and Quesabirria. We also tried the Carne asada fries they made for us because it isn't on the menu but was very good! And filling for my family. I will definitely be back and they have won me over with birria & taco shop here in IB!

Birrieria La Loteria has good from Food truck to Brick in Mortar with this location in Imperial Beach. Don't get me wrong, they still have the food truck in Lemon Grove, but it's good to see a small business expanding.

On this visit, I had a pair of tacos dorados de birria or hard shell beef birria tacos with all the fixings. The tacos were terrific, and I loved the crunch each corn tortilla offered. The beef birria inside was tender, juicy, and quite flavorful. The tacos also came with chopped white onions and cilantro.

The pickled onions and chopped habanero peppers on the side were very good and great to add to each taco. Great tacos.
