Chrisman Plaza — Local services in Independence

I enjoy shopping here. I only usually go to the Dollar General Store and the Ace Hardware Store. I LOVE SHOPPING THE ACE HARDWARE STORE When they have their PLANTS, TREES, AND FLOWERS SALES!!! NOT TO MENTION THEIR WONDERFUL FRUIT AND VEGGIES PLANTS SALES!!! YUMMY!!! As far as this DOLLAR GENERAL STORE, I LOVE Coming to this one because usually when mine is out of things this has FULL STOCK OF IT. Not sure if it's due to being further away from neighborhoods or just due to different people different tastes. EITHER WAY I HONESTLY DON'T CARE, I Get That FULL STOCK To Shop from!

I DID SEE SOMETHING THERE THE OTHER NIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT AND I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON! THE ENTIRE PARKING LOT WAS PACKED FULL ONLY ALMOST A SNAKE LIKE PATHWAY DRIVE THROUGH SO ONCE YOU ENTER THE PARKING LOT YOU CAN GET BACK OUT INTO THE STREET. PEOPLE WERE EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE OF CARS. THESE CARS WERE AMAZING, HOT CARS! SOME HAD HYDRAULICS BOUNCING, SOME HAD RUNNING LIGHTS, SOME HAD {REALLY SEEMED TO ME TOO DARK TO BE LEGAL} TINTED WINDOWS, STEREO SYSTEMS TO TOP MOST HOME STEREOS, AND OTHERS HAD SPEAKER SYSTEMS TO TOP MOST HOME SYSTEMS {WITH THE FULL CABINET, WOOFERS, AND TWEETERS} THEY SEEMED MOSTLY ORGANIZED OR AT LEAST COURTEOUS OF ONE ANOTHER BECAUSE ONE END OF THE PARKING LOT WAS BLASTING THEIR STEREOS AT THE SAME TIME AS THE OTHER, THEN THEY'D QUIT AND LET SAME ENDS GO BUT PEOPLE A FEW SPOTS DOWN FROM THEM ON EACH END WOULD BE PLAYING THEIR SOUND NOW!! OTHER CARS WOULD BE SHOWING OFF THEIR LIGHTS, ETC. PEOPLE WALKING AROUND TALKING {YELLING?LOL} IT WAS REALLY COOL 😎 I'M JUST GUESSING IT WAS A CAR SHOW. SO WHEN I GOT TO THE END (NEAR THE END {?}TO LEAVE) THE FRONT OF THE OLD FIRESTONE (?)(THE BACKSIDE OF IT WHERE ALL THE GARAGE DOORS WERE HEADING TO THAT SIDE STREET.) These guys got into a HUGE YELLING MATCH AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY ARE TRYING TO OUT REV THEIR ENGINES {I'M THINKING THESE IDIOTS ARE GOING TO BLOW UP THEIR MOTORS! THROW A ROD, BLOW A PISTON, FLY WHEEL DAMAGE, ETC}, THEN TURNING UP THEIR STEREOS TRYING TO BLOW THEIR SPEAKERS! THEN SOME GIRLS ON EACH SIDE (WE WERE ON THAT SNAKELIKE PATHWAY IN BETWEEN THEM) STARTED SCREAMING AT EACH OTHER NEXT THING YOU KNOW {I BELIEVE} ONE OF THE CARS ARGUING SPED OUT FROM BESIDE US. (WE had gotten pulled up to where that little opening is there where the strip mall ends and Firestone's parking ends so you can go in the garages.) So someone else cranked up the music and the party went on. AND SO DID WE!! BUT...

This shopping center has all your shops in just one spot. There's Cash $avers Discount Grocery Store, and then who could go to town without stopping by your local Dollar General, which might I add had exactly what I needed to complete one of my art projects kudos to them! There's ACE hardware and a Sherman Williams for all of your household needs and home repair, there's a WIC office located on end of the left side, as well as Independence Auto Tek..I have a friend who took her vehicle to them and they did satisfactory work on some body damage and the cost was almost half of what other places had quoted her, but they did keep the vehicle an entire day extra and reaching out to them to inquire about when she could pick her vehicle up was crazy. No one would answer or return her calls, and then someone told her she was talking the guy who initially served her; however she knew it was someone else's voice and she just got the run around. In the end she got her car back, a day later than she was initially told and she had to find out about it the hard way. But, other than that it was a job well done so you decide for yourselves on that one. There's a few more places I believe, a nail salon, a loan company, and a Fantastic Sam's and a Cricket Wireless Phone Service. There's a lot of details there for anyone that didn't...

The shops here are well worth going to, but the building is quite dated and the parking lot is a mess. This Ace Hardware packs an awful lot into a small footprint, but their "Garden Center" has overtaken a significant portion of the parking lot and locals respond by parking everywhere, ignoring yellow lines and clogging lanes. The Dollar General is pretty typical, but this space is cramped and very old, making the store feel cluttered and disorganized.
