Under the Awning — Local services in Independence

Cute little gift shop in Independence that prides itself on selling cool little gifts "with a story", from local places that give back to teh community. Purchased a neat little wallet made by a local leathermaker who donates for Downs Syndrome charities, so I'm shopping, but I'm also doing my part! The lady who worked there was absolutely sweet and chatty and entertained me with stories about the Hallmark movie (the upcoming Chiefs one!) that's being filmed nearby. Would gladly come back again...
