Bikini Beachhouse — Local services in Indian Rocks Beach

This house is beautiful and the fact that it’s so close to the beach would have you thinking this is a great place to stay. But unfortunately the owner did not make this stay very pleasant. Per our contract, we were told to keep the noise down between the hours of 10pm-8am, which we gladly respected. However on our second day we were told to keep the noise down when we were playing music on a SMALL speaker…it was 4pm. Later a small group of people was outside laughing and enjoying quality time (9pm) being that COVID had made it difficult for any of us to finally be together in a group after so long. We received another complaint about “screaming”. We were laughing, and swimming. I’m confused about the reviews of people saying they were able to have parties while we weren’t able to make noises within the hours we were ALLOWED to, which weren’t even that rowdy to begin with. For the people having parties with large groups, are you all mute and wearing headphones for music?, because I just don’t see why you were allowed to and we were not. Again we received complaints when we were all outside eating. I don’t understand how a house that fits 20 people is expected to stay silent all day?? The owner should have stated from the beginning that it was a residential area and that we needed to keep the “noise” down all day to respect the neighbors. We would’ve gladly looked for a different place where we wouldn’t have to worry about that. We ended up having to find other things to do, which resulted in us spending more money, which wasn’t very convenient being that this house is pretty expensive. We weren’t even able to enjoy it at its full potential. The waterfall for the pool wasn’t working, so many things around the house needed fixing, and bathroom doors don’t lock. So many of these things are usually things our family can look past because we don’t need LUXURY but these things pile up when you’re constantly being messaged throughout your vacation with threats of being kicked out (without a refund for days not stayed) if there was any more “noise”. Also someone was supposed to clean the pool at least twice, and nobody showed up. Overall, this house is probably good if your group tends to be quiet, whisper your conversations, doesn’t jump in the pool to create splashes at ALL...

At first look this house is beautiful, the location near the beach makes it almost a dream come true. However it is a house that accommodates 20 people so unless all 20 people are mute, this is not a place for you to stay. Our contract was very clear about keeping quiet during 10pm-8am, which we gladly respected. However we were playing Spanish music at 4 pm on a Bluetooth speaker in a calm manner and received a noise complaint. Later that night a smaller group of about 7 of us were laughing outside at 9pm and again we received noise complaints. It is a residential area and apparently they expect a house that accommodates a large group to be quiet the entire time. It made our stay very stressful being told by the owner that we would be kicked out (without a refund for days not stayed) if he received another noise complaint from us. Not to mention us not being able to hold conversations outside because we received complaints about that as well.

The house isn’t even all that well kept. Floorboards we’re coming up, the baskets in the bathroom were broken. The shower curtains were stained. The bathroom doors don’t even lock. We were also told someone would come clean the pool every 2 days, we stayed for 6 days and nobody came.

It’s a shame how expensive this house is yet we spent more because we had to find other things to do so that we would be able to enjoy each other’s company, resulting in us spending even more than...

The manager who communicates with the Airbnb renters was terrible. The place is well kept aside from a huge hole in the wall on the first level, but it’s almost as if they look for a way to ruin your stay. There were 5 people sitting around the pool and we got messages saying they were calling the cops. The cops came and apologized for having to come and mentioned this is unfortunately not uncommon.

Aside from the semi-well kept house this guy is a slumlord which Airbnb representatives even mentioned has a relatively very high amount of ‘Flagged Guest Occurrences’ meaning that he reports some issue with many of the Airbnb guests he hosts.

Also I’m only mentioning this because I like to sleep in the cold (67 degrees) but two of the bedrooms don’t get the HVAC vented to them so during our December stay my friend and myself were absolutely boiling in the morning hours of around 5-8am. Other...
