Blue Water Beach Rentals — Hotel in Indian Rocks Beach

Just returned from 4 nights at Blue Water Beach Rental. First, I will preface that my wife and I are not high maintenance people. All we need is a clean rental and comfortable accommodations. This place had neither. It was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. Granted, this is old style Florida which we love and we stayed in many such places around the St. Pete/Bradenton area beaches. The bed was probably the original mattress when the place was built. Sleeping on the beach would have been softer. The pullout should have thrown out when the first floor was flooded last fall. The shower, while dated was filthy. And lastly, I know the property owners in Florida are trying to conserve electricity and the life of the AC units but the thermostat was set on 75 and could ne adjusted. We were in unit 7 which is upstairs so it got warm during the days. Nights were sleepless. Hot unit and hard bed with worn out pillows. There are a few pros. The location is wonderful and access to the beach is easy. Check-in was easy. The price is good but still for $1000.00 upgrade, it could be whole lot more. That is...

Living in Florida on the East coast it is always nice to get away to the West coast. Well this year we ran into Hurricane Elsa and trying to find a place last minute. Never fear Anita and Blue Water had the exact days I needed and at more then affordable price. Her communication was awesome throughout the process. It's old school Florida and centrally located to restaurants, ice cream shop, activities, and steps away from the water. One of the worst places in IRB by a mile. Believe nothing they tell you in their description. There were no beach chairs or umbrellas, no beach bikes, the bbq grills did not get hot enough to cook on. The oven was filthy, it was covered in aluminum foil. The room is very dated and so is the furniture. Filthy bathroom especially the shower. Major construction during our stay in the rooms below us making so much noise we had to leave during the weekdays. They lied about EVERYTHING!!!
