This is an outstanding place. My aunt & uncle said man you have got to try this place out. I am a foodie. I like hole in the wall places...So I am game to try local places out and support local. So we went. When you 1st drive up it's like an old school mayberry dinner back home just beached up. I tell ya what, the food though...really awesome. The server was really knowledgeable and timely. We were out in the bar area. Anyway, I said man let's try some stuff. Bacon wrapped scallops, grouper bites, Thai wings (my aunts favorite) and the crab cake. I always try crabcakes where I see them and man was I wowed. Seared perfectly on each side just nice balance of shredded and jumbo lump crab...seasoned well, just nice and meaty just one of the best I have had. Bacon wrapped scallops oh man and the grouper nuggets moist and flakey when you bite into them and Prices are really good...the only thing that could take this place over the top would be if it were on the sand....if your in town living or visiting you gotta get...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. We were sat quickly by a cheerful hostess on a Friday night. (Wonderful!) Our waitress, Kendra, was on point, nice, polite and attentive. Drinks and food were served quickly. I had the ahi tuna appetizer which was great. After that we went severely downhill. Wife ordered clam strips, I ordered the scallop platter. It's possible that they have good food here, but it isn't either of those two options. The scallops were fake. They were not, by any stretch of the imagination, real scallops. They were a surimi product. They should be ashamed for trying to pass these off as authentic scallops. The clam strips should have been called clam flavored breading. I get clam strips aren't the meatiest of menu items, but I think it's reasonable to expect to occasionally find a sliver of clam strip in a basket of so called clam strips. Hush puppies were dense and unrisen. Rough first date with the place, doubtful we...
Read moreFound this place driving by because my family ways goes to the French Bakery every year when we come to Florida.
At first we didn’t pay to much attention to it cause from the outside it looked like everyone other bar and grill. But man I was so glad to be wrong. We went in and was greeted by friendly staff and didn’t have to wait that long to be seated.
The appetizers were fantastic; my families favorite was the Fried Shrimp with Sweet Tai sauce and the Fried Calamari but over all we thought all the appetizers were great!
The entrees and sandwiches were awesome! I ordered the Grouper Philly sandwich with beer and was just floored with how good it was. My mother ordered the Grouper Taco that was also really good! So good in fact that stayed for dessert and ordered the Fried Ice-cream which left my family with the best experience we could of ever had.
We will defiantly be coming back to this place!...
